I don't get the argument "that these people aren't racist, but they vote just BNP".

For me, If you vote BNP, you are a racist. I know this is guilt by association but I think it's fair. What's more, making excuses for those who choose to support these hatemongers makes it more acceptable for them to do so.

I know I wouldn't vote for a party when I didn't know their policies and if I did, I'd feel pretty ashamed that I voted without bothering to find out. To be honest, anyone who votes for the BNP and claims that didn't realise they'd just cosied up to facists needs to give up voting for good.

Honour killings are illegal in Pakistan, Afghanistan, all "hard line" Islamic countries. Yes, there are people there who wilfully misinterpret their religion's edicts for their own ends and to try to justify their evil actions - that's really not confined to Islam. What do you think of the Spanish Inquisition? Does that accurately reflect Jesus' teachings?

An honour killing is a murder. Murder is illegal and depressingly prosaic.

as far as i am aware honour killings are frownded upon in all cultures but are more commonly associated in some asian cultures.

It is not Asian families we see trying to illegally gain access to the uk so i don't see anyway of linking your honour killings refferrence to any argument about immigration. legal or otherwise
