To want Gas & Air for a gynae procedure?

I want to have a skintag removed from my perineum and have been told that G&A will not be available. Apparently I will not need it because I will be given local anaesthetic injection.

That's why I need the G&A! The injection is excruciatingly painful. It may only last seconds, but by god those seconds last a lifetime.

can you not use numbing cream?

TheHeadlessWombat · 13/10/2009 14:23

Could you purchase some Emla cream and apply that to the area at least 20 minutes before? It numbs the skin.

PrettyCandles · 13/10/2009 14:40

Thank you!

I've looked up Emla and it can be used on genitals.

Oh the relief! I don't have to worry now.

You're welcome. Someone posted a link the other day to a site that you can purchase it from if you can't get it from your local pharmacy. If you need it I'll find it.

gloiredemonpere · 13/10/2009 14:47

It does say dont use EMLA on the anus be careful! We tried it at our 3 into 1 club and I couldn't sit down for a week. Just close your eyes and pretend you are having Botox

PrettyCandles · 13/10/2009 14:48

Gloire, dare I ask what a 3 into 1 club is?

carocaro · 13/10/2009 14:51

Oh Lordy I hope 3 into 1 is not what my mind has just imagined?!

PrettyCandles · 13/10/2009 14:53

Yikes - naive!

Um, yeah, if it is that, then really there is no need to go into any detail . I have never read any of 'those' threads.

3 into 1 hole v. tight fit I CAN TELL YOU! I am sitcking to flower arranging in future. It was my mums idea she thought I neede to det out more and socialize all the OAPs are at it in her Retiremnt Village even tose on mobility scooters!

gloiredemonpere · 13/10/2009 14:57

Sorry typos! OP is skin tag large/uncmfotable/dangerous? why all the pain if tis harmless! You are not into anal bleaching as well are you?

PrettyCandles · 13/10/2009 15:03

Your mum's idea ! You are teasing, aren't you?

Yup, uncomfortable, and an unwelcome intrusion into relations IYSWIM. If it grew any bigger I'd have to dress left. Or right.

Thank God you asked Sydney. I thought I was the only one wondering what the 3 in 1 club is.

KayHarkerIsKayHarker · 13/10/2009 15:09

that's got to be the wierdest and quickest tangent I've ever read on MN.

hobbgoblin · 13/10/2009 15:10

adding to threads i'm on in anticipation of 3 into 1 explanation

PrettyCandles · 13/10/2009 15:11

G&A not entirely effective, but it distracts you for just long enough.

I've given birth three times, and used more G&A for the examinations and stitching than for the labours.

I would rather go through any of my labours again, with no pain relief, than have a needle jabbed in my perineum for 5 seconds.

hobbgoblin · 13/10/2009 15:12

kayharker, its all the tangenital thinking that's going on.

worriedamy · 13/10/2009 15:13

What the hell??!!

KayHarkerIsKayHarker · 13/10/2009 15:14

I'm trying to find an innocuous meaning for OAP 3 in 1 club, because the alternatives are far too alarming.

Fitting in phoneboxes, perhaps. Or in mobility buggy sidecars.

worriedamy · 13/10/2009 15:15

lol at this thread!!

JustAnotherManicMummy · 13/10/2009 15:16

May I nominate for "most bizarre digression of a thread ever"?

KayHarkerIsKayHarker · 13/10/2009 15:20

The porches of those retirement villages can be remarkably tiny. It'd be a squeeze to fit three people in one.

maybe it's like chubby bunny, and they're using marshmallows.

Actually, I think I just made it worse, didn't I?
