at the fact that the DSSs' mother is begging telling them to go home to keep the new au pair company?

We did warn her that a 12 year old and a 14 year old didn't actually need an au pair...

Or what about the plot about the ex-husband who goes round to assist with ex-wife's au pair problems and gives the au pair one?

she's not a wife, though. the OP is not married to this man. he was, however, married to the DSS's mum.

Hang on, sorry to interupt, but can I check I've got this straight...

Anna has 2 step sons. They are with her at the mo. Their mum has got an au pair for them, but because they are with Anna, the au pair has nothing to do, so mum wants them to go back to hers.

Right?

A and Bs birth mum wants A and B to go back to house B to comfort lonely au pair?

she's not just their birth mum, sushi. she's their mother. and her ex/husband whatever obviously didn't find her so crap for so long as he stayed with her . . . till about the time he met anna, IIRC.

If it doesn't directly affect your life, then don't waste your time worrying about it is what I say. Not your money being wasted, not your business. I'm not really into cackling up ones sleeve at others perceived misfortune/mistake/whatever - shallow.

I'd say YABU on that basis. Mind yourself and don't be worrying too much about what everyone else is up to.

And yes, DH is another Halle Berry fan in that movie. Her body is amazing in it

I know, even when she blubbed embarrassingly all over the Oscars that time, she was still beautiful......grrr. Not fair!

My DH goes into a trance when she is on tv.

And she wasn't exactly shabby in James Bond either......that belted bikini business.....grrr.
