I have been brainwashed by these crazy songs and if I am found singing "We're trugging along, we dont know where we're going..." once more I will be committed!!!!

I love them! I quite often do the washing up whilst belting out the theme tune to Johnny and The Sprites!

No, not just you yummycrumpet, not by a long chalk.
I listen to the BBC 6 Music radio breakfast show and every morning Shaun Keaveney features listeners' 'earworms' i.e. the song they woke up singing or that was going round their head. Mine, without fail, is either Space Pirates, Big Cook Little Cook or one of the bloody Night Garden characters songs. It makes me want to weep.
The theme tunes from most cbeebies programmes seem to have enormously frightening sticking power - if someone could analyse what it is that makes them stay in your brain and repeat themselves over and over again until you want to scream, and sell it to the pop music industry they'd make billions.

However then there are songs like the one at the end of Nina and the Neurons which is in the wrong key for the singer, doesn't always rhyme and hardly scans. That is far more irritating than a catchy jingle type song.

I find myself trilling manically, "Pots and pans / Will start to smell / If we don't wash them really well!" every time I enter my kitchen and eye the overflowing sink.

Shame that's as far as it goes. Ben and Small are right you know. They do start to smell.

I genuinely like some of this stuff.

"I am a shape da da da daa da" is a top number, and I merrily sing it most of the day...

Roary the Racing Car is in my head most of the time, despite the fact that ds last watched it over 6 months ago.

You know the one on Me Too where they realise that they've only got seven minutes to get the vitally important task done, but it's okay 'cause they're going to heed Granny Murray's words of wisdom?

I am however, a huge fan of the music from 3rd and Bird (controversial)! Also like the 'shape la la la' thing, although the shapes themselves freak me out somewhat with their horrible clompy shoes...

"Hello hello how are you?..etc" of Something Special was well and truly stuck in my head for a good six months but has now gladly gone (for today at least)

In my defence though I LOVE the Lazytown music and even know all of the words to the CD in the car!

Big cook little cook is pretty weird but we love the 'when your tummy gets all rumbley' part of the dance = my LO yells "coock" at lot because of that show.
I can't abide the dancing they do in Balamory - toe-curling...

Its in 1 episode of Peppa Pig and I have been singing it for 3 weeks now.

For a good long while, Chris singing 'Bedtime Business' was something that tormented DH and I. All evening, every evening. Round and round in our heads.

One day, DH gleefully informed me that he had the antidote to Bedtime Business. He wouldn't tell me for days until I withdrew sex and hid all his work clothes.

It turned out the antidode was James Blunt's 'You're Beautiful'. And therefore not worth having. Bastard.

All of the above!! But my absolute favourite is the autumn song, Ds1 and I love it! I can't wait for it to come on...
You know it's autumn when it's dark when you get out of bed, you know it's autumn when a conker falls on your head, birds migrate, hedgehogs hibernate, leaves fall down and all turn brown....
