Perfect weather for washing here - sunny and windy!

AnyFucker · 29/07/2009 11:09

pissing it down here, every day since Sunday

lovely weather for my 2 weeks of annual leave

I fucking hate the British summer, I don't know why I am so disappointed every year, why do I not learn ???

TsarChasm · 29/07/2009 11:15

Yanbu. AF sums it all up neatly for me. I'm just the same - never learn. Well next year we're def not staying in thes country for another dose of this

I see the met office are getting it in the neck for mis-forecasting the summer weather (again)

Here

Kent. Still fine here. [smug]

MoontheMightyThreadKiller · 29/07/2009 13:30

It's coming you way foofi then you'll be like the rest of us.

I AM PIG SICK OF THE EFFING MISERABLE WEATHER.

I have tons of washing going smelly as I just refuse to put a tumble drier on in bloody JULY!!!!

Sorry for shouting but am sick of 4 years of shit summer.

However, I have booked my first holiday abroad in 3 years so counting the seconds til that

AnyFucker · 29/07/2009 13:32

I have my central heating on to dry washing

I don't have a tumble drier

We need the heating actually, the thermostat was showing 14deg this morning

MoontheMightyThreadKiller · 29/07/2009 13:35

See, how wrong is that? Central Heating in July??

AnyFucker · 29/07/2009 13:37

I am sitting here in a dark room (very gloomy outside), listening to the rain, with the central heating on.

Helloooo???

Have we fast-forwarded to November ??

squilly · 29/07/2009 13:38

If you're in the UK, YAB slighly Unreasonable to expect dry washing in the summer.

With the odd exception of a freaky, baking summer, like several years ago, this is how it generally is. This is summer holidays British styley.

YANBU, however, in moaning about the weather. It's a crock. And the weather people promised so much for this year

MoontheMightyThreadKiller · 29/07/2009 13:38

I have the lights on because I will bump into furniture otherwise.

i think November is normally warmer and drier than this.

MoontheMightyThreadKiller · 29/07/2009 13:39

When I had DS1 (2004) I had the whole of that summer off and it was just lovely. Why is it too much to expect more than a week of sun from April to September?

Lilyloo · 29/07/2009 13:40

We currently camping and feel fortunate that it stayed dry for long enough to put tent up Monday. Been raining pretty much since then.
On here drying out!!

MoontheMightyThreadKiller · 29/07/2009 13:43

Lilyloo I want to cry for you.

hope you don't have what we had in Bavaria until last week - 5 solid weeks of rain. I think it didn't rain for 2 of those days. Otherwise it rained, and I mean really heavy, massive thunder & lightening etc etc for 5 weeks. Now it's stopped raining and it's too hot to go out

MoontheMightyThreadKiller · 29/07/2009 14:00

Riven, maybe consider packing a change of clothes and some towels in readiness!!

Hope appt goes OK.

Riven, is there no transport available for you ?

No community transport set-ups for just your situation ?

Riven, I love your pics and wish life wasn't so hard

bleh · 29/07/2009 14:16

Well, I'm in the middle of "fan-gate" at work. The stupid ridiculous men in the team, who are set near the window, have decided they are hot and have switched their oscillating fan on. I have asked them to switch it off. I'm sat in my coat in the office, in july. They refused. I now have a heater on as well. Idiots.

MoontheMightyThreadKiller · 29/07/2009 14:19

Oh my god, it's slightly brightened here i.e. from black sky to sort of mid grey. Maybe my sundance has worked?
