I've given them a chance, really i have, but they make me wince. They are so false and wooden. Cerrie clearly sees it as a stepping stone, i saw her on the "one show" and she was pretty much the same, no personality behind the pretty face. As for the guy, he says everything with an insincere smile plastered across his face that makes me want to punch his lights out.

Even the simpering skye was better than this pair, at least her simpering was genuine!

I loved chris and pui and i want them back - please, if thats ok.

It was the programme of choice when I had morning sickness. It took me years to be able to stay in the same room when it was on.

melmog · 28/06/2009 08:07

Oh God. I think I've been watching it all far too long. I love doodle doo, timmy time and space pirates. Hate everthing else! Especially higgledy house and anything else with Justin in. Even hate his voice in the tweeneis! He gives me the willies. I think it might be because he's seems to still have his baby teeth!

I never liked Pui but Chris was good. Nothing compared to Sid and Andy though.

We're converts to milkshake now though.Much better programmes (for me anyway) and the presenters are genuinely bubbly.

weblette · 28/06/2009 08:42

Ah yes Space Pirates, now that's a fab programme.

Jumente · 28/06/2009 08:47

I actually really want to shag Captain DJ. Really he gives me the hots.

kathyis6incheshigh · 28/06/2009 08:51

We turn over to Milkshake whenever Big Cock Cook Little Cook comes on.

I heart Sid but dd has just told me she prefers Alex because he has brown hair

Aaargh she just informed me she also prefers Cerrie to Pui because she has golden hair. Bloody children, what do they know about kids' tv?

Jumente · 28/06/2009 08:56

Lol Kathy

Someone once referred to Big cook on here as 'dead eyed' which I can't forget. All that voguing.

melmog · 28/06/2009 08:57

I do wish they'd make some more episodes of space pirates though. The cheeky girls doing the farmyard hokey (wtf?) makes me want to vomit but my dc's love it!

Jumente · 28/06/2009 08:58

Mind you 'Buttletop bill' and his best frined Corkeeee

sung by Nick Drake it would seem

'making me illllll

and I want to run a waaaaaayyyyy

running a waaayyyyy

hooo raaaayyyyy'

that is where five loses the game a bit

melmog · 28/06/2009 09:06

and the adverts.

I think anything that I associate with being up early does my head in actually.

spicemonster · 28/06/2009 09:07

I've always thought it was Julian Clary singing the theme tune

I can't cope with that programme - it's too weird for words

Servalan · 28/06/2009 10:28

Granny Murray is in "Me Too" Stealth

She's the scary, over-smiley childminder

chocolatestar · 28/06/2009 10:54

I am glad I am not the only one to have a bit of crush on big cook ben! I really don't like Justin - though, he irritates the hell out of me.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 28/06/2009 11:15

Cerrie and Alex are too wet. She is better than him, and they have both improved since they started but they are still awful!

Don't like Andy I'm afraid, but Sid is OK.

Yes to Me Doodle-Do and Captain DJ. Maybe to little cook but definitely no to big cook. And no-way to Justin, and even more no-way to Mr Tumble. I can cope with Justin as a presenter but Mr Tumble is creepy.

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 28/06/2009 11:32

I can't abide Andy's teeth.

Doodle-Do guy gay? Nooooooooooooooooooo! I really like him.

stressybessy · 28/06/2009 13:20

Got to laugh at Cerrie's supposed favourite game though - she must have a bit of a sense of humour!

Heebychick · 28/06/2009 19:54

Ha ha ha! that's really funny!!

independiente · 28/06/2009 20:07

Big cook Ben and Little Cook Small are also presenters on Nuts TV. How grim/hilarious is that? A friend told me, I googled it - it's true! Apparently Small is actually about 6'6, tee hee.

Dysgu · 28/06/2009 20:19

I find Little Cook Small a bit creepy - it's the hair I think.

DD1 gets cross every time Granny Murray says 'Hello Sweetie Pie' - she shouts "I am NOT Sweetie Pie, I am DD1!"

Confuzzeled · 28/06/2009 20:44

Guilty of not reading whole thread but also guilty of wanting to do dirty things to the doodle doo guy, even though I'm happily married.

I like Little Cook Small, but think Big Cook Ben tries to hard and can see him as an extra in the Bill or something.

Captain dj is a comedian in adult life.

Alex is wrinkled and looks old, he looks like he needs a rest most of the time. I miss C&P too.

Frasersmum123 · 28/06/2009 20:51

Miles Jupp who plays Archie in Balamory is a comedien in real life. I also heard something about him doing something on TV that had an adult theme, though I might be making that up?

Jumente · 28/06/2009 21:19

I always hated Chris, I'm afraid. The only time he redeemed himself was the Hugo Monkey thing. That was ace

Otherwise it was 'I'm only doing this for a laugh' bloke in an extremely dodgy waistcoat having a camp conversation with a talking bookcase.

Clearly genius, but somehow it evaded my grasp...

Wedgie · 28/06/2009 21:26

Definitely a bit on the weird side when Little Cook gets astride that wooden spoon....

And I HATE IT when Big Cook Ben does those stupid arm moves that look like bad karate chops.

Captain DJ is a bit of allright (I can't believe I am even saying this, my life is over)....

Fruitbeard · 28/06/2009 21:28

I hated Andy but he has grown on me.

I miss Chris

I avoid commenting on Justin's looks since DD called him 'Daddy' (there is a resemblance...)

DH fancies Jen from Milkshake. Well, he says he doesn't, it's just that she's so happy and cheerful, but I've noticed him paying close attention when she's doing her Jolly Body Jigs

Fruitbeard · 28/06/2009 21:30

Oh, and the first time I saw Big Cook do the 'tidy up' song, waving those dusters as he high-kicked his way down the kitchen, I nearly spat my tea out. So camp it's untrue!

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 28/06/2009 21:34

As camp as Christmas and then some, Fruitbeard.

I will be pmsl tomorrow when I have to sit through BCLC again ('high-kicked his way down the kitchen' lolol)
