AIBU?

To really not like Cerrie and watsisface from Cbeebies......

I've given them a chance, really i have, but they make me wince. They are so false and wooden. Cerrie clearly sees it as a stepping stone, i saw her on the "one show" and she was pretty much the same, no personality behind the pretty face. As for the guy, he says everything with an insincere smile plastered across his face that makes me want to punch his lights out.

Even the simpering skye was better than this pair, at least her simpering was genuine!

I loved chris and pui and i want them back - please, if thats ok.

something special is brilliant, we need more programes like it, never quite understood why they can't just make an odinary programe and put makaton in it.

as for those silly presenters, sid and andy rock, the other 2 need to be sacked.

I disliked Pui when she first came on...but came to love her. She was so wooden it was unbelievable!

In answer to the OP- give 'em a chance! Personally, I will only watch them for a few more months as youngest grows steadily out of CBEEBIES...HA!

Oh Cerrie and watsisface are just sooo... drippy really. Wetter than very wet puddles in the rain.

I never found Pui wooden. I always really liked here.

Justin I have to say is a total legend

I actually feel they are a tad sinister like ceebies meets the league of gentlemen

Something Special is Fantastic and Justin is just great, though not so much in Higgledy House. Maybe Sarah-Jane is holding him back!

If you want to talk about strange people, take a look at Me Too (the train trolley dolly is a prime example), or Balamory!

Ugh, Justin gives me the heebies for some reason. I think it's his obvious love for Little Britain, but DD1 loves him.

Everytime she sees Cerrie and Alex she says I miss Chris and Pui, are they coming back?

Report
Servalan · 27/06/2009 21:52

Oh I hate Balamory and Me Too (almost, but not quite, as much as Popshop!)

DD keeps saying "I like Granny Murray", which is a tad worrying! No one should smile that much!

JackBauer · 27/06/2009 21:57

Oh yes Raymond and Tina's 'relationship.

That's highly believable, isn't it

I think Justin is brilliant - love Something Special, what a great programme! I find Mr Tumble ever so slightly disturbing at times though...

Report
BigusBumus · 27/06/2009 22:25

I do actually fancy Justin.

In a non-sexual way, if thats possible?

He's fab.

Wedgie · 27/06/2009 22:30

Mr Tumble is a bit weird, I know he's meant to be into what he's doing for the kiddiwinkies, but he's just a bit too keen and intense if you see what I mean. I can't abide that Higgledy House....gonna have the damn music going through my head all night now!

Don't think I would want Mister Maker rummaging in my doodle drawers.

I have found myself avidly watching 'Brum' recently, perhaps I prefer that as there are no presenters at all. I like it more than my 21 month old does. AND I have found myself doing Granny Murray 'heellooo honey pieee' impressions, should I be concerned?!

Only recently started watching CBeebies with DS; can't remember who Chris and Pui are?

I was just talking about Cerrie and Alex today with my mum...dd was running about outside while we were sitting watching cbeebies...and they are completely crap. So YANBU. I loved Chris and Pui!

Worryingly enough, I'm starting to like the folks in Balamory. And even to tolerate the Me too! mob. Although Raymond will always be a wee strange ned with a serious marriage of convenience.

Justin rules though!

ninkynork, I agree - The Bedtime Song isn't the same sung by Cerrie and alex. I loved when Chris sang it.

Report
Dysgu · 27/06/2009 23:15

I miss Chris most at bedtime too - for the song. Actually, DD1 sometimes ends up getting an extra hour (if she can stay awake!) so that we can have the Jimmer Jammers on Nick Jnr (I love the line 'it's a clean face, toothpaste, A TINKLE and a hug...'

And Justin is just fabulous. He is DD1's absolute favourite and she was so cute when she worked out that he and Mr Tumble and Grandad Tumble are ALL THE SAME PERSON!

Sorry Doodle-Do fans but he's gay.........he always in my mum's shop with his fella!

Personally, I totally love Mr Tumble - my ideal man

I watched an interview with Justin as I'm beginning to get obsessed with him. He's a trained clown and he learns Makaton as he is going along and has advisors on set to make sure he's doing it correctly.

JackBauer - you are right, they are the most unbelievable couple ever!

Report
StealthPolarBear · 28/06/2009 07:29

I think they're a bit drippy but I like them - but I'm a newcomer to CBeebies so have nothing to compare them to!
I love it when they sing the bedtime song, but I think that's more the time of day than anything else
I also love BCLC, Mister Maker (although he does look a bit psychotic) and Mr Tumble, although I'm guessing Mr T appeals mostly to the younger children.
Have never seen whatever it is Granny Murray's in, and yet she's talked about loads! What is she in? We watch loads of CBeebies, how on earth has she not come up??

They aren't good are they? I love the fact that so few of us know his name. Alex is it? He has a weird wheedling sort of face, like he's pleading with you to like him. It makes me want to smack him.

Justin gives me the creeps and is not asexual - in fact I'm fairly sure there was an MNer who'd shagged him.

Sid and Andy though - fabulous. And I like the space pirate man and mr maker although my DS isn't entirely sure what they're on about.

StealthPolarBear · 28/06/2009 07:50

WHich ones are sid and andy?

Report
Jumente · 28/06/2009 07:53

Cerrie is great, she has a bit of a spark going on...Alex is, well as Spicemonster said it does make me want to lamp the guy/ however he is growing on me, in the way a persistent weed can kind of take over your garden anyway...feel a bit sorry for him, he looks as though nobody has ever given him one.

Report
Jumente · 28/06/2009 07:56

Justin is disturbing I agree. He ought to try NOT smiling occasionally, it would make him seem more sincere. But he is clever chap.

Someone put some strychnine in GM's tea for me please, if you happen to be going past (like, everyone goes past, right?) Or train your DOG to do it. fraek
