Please tell me i'm not the only one sick to my stomach at what the Bristol family are putting that 18 month old baby girl through on a daily basis.

She is so bloody fat she can not walk and talk without being breathless FFS

The childs mum may not be winning any mummy awards any time soon but there is no suggestion of violence torture or sexual abuse.

Just laziness and her DH not having the balls to question what she's doing.

She is going to have a bloody heart attack very soon, she does nothing but lie in bed and eat shit, she smokes and she neglects her child, she needs some self respect and some respect for her partner and child

I have mental health problems that are being dealt withwhich means the house is becoming habitable / clean and hygenic (no - it wasn't for a long time...) - for all we know, she has MH problems that have not been noticed or acted upon / helped with.

Sometimes I think that people aren't properly trained or equipped to look after small children. I think she def needs parenting classes and support but it didn't in anyway seem that she didn't love her daughter or that her daughter was uncommunicative or starved of affection.

There are thousands of well meaning but ultimately ignorant parents like this that would have no idea of the NSPCC levels of what tips into abuse and would be appalled to imagine that what they do constitutes such in some people's minds

It might not have been our ideal idea of parenting but I think imo it wasn't abuse. Ill judged.. but I think miles from mal intent.

It's interesting that we are all saying what a good guy the father seems...are we saying he has no idea of what the mother does?

Point is that he seems to (from the way the program has been presented) cook for the baby and play with her etc. So from my persepctive situation not dire as she has caring engaged parent.

and if that 'poor little girl' grows up and also does not have the internal emotional resources to parent in a way that is better than the way she has been parented does she also become a 'fat bitch' in your opinion?
