to have voted for the BNP today

and feel that I should keep it a secret (have name changed obviously) for fear of being lynched!!

It is a perfectly legal party that has been totally demonised in the media. I was even worried that I may be able to be traced from my ballot paper but I took the risk and voted for them because all the other parties are the bloody same and none of them have the guts to sort this country out. Suppose I'll never get to heaven now .

OP posts:
dollius · 05/06/2009 15:58

Was it this tit you heard in the park?

barnsleybelle · 05/06/2009 16:01

dollius. Thanks so much for providing this, as for some reason a poster on here seems to think i'm inventing things.

It wasn't this person though. The man in my local town was around aged 50 with long straggly grey hair and built like a house.

barnsleybelle · 05/06/2009 16:03

londonone... read the link that dollius has provided... He says the same chocolate cake/rape comment... hopefully then apologise to me.

brightongirldownunder · 05/06/2009 16:03

There's one BNP group on facebook that says it all - illiterate, extremely racist and totally thuggish members. I reported them but it won't make any difference. I wanted to post a comment on there but then saw that one brave person who had continued to do so was being sent vile threatening messages by the creator. Nice eh?

Its made me feel totally sick.

dollius · 05/06/2009 16:06

And am I wrong in thinking that the BNP do want to legalise rape within marriage, on the basis that it doesn't count as rape?

Am sure I read that somewhere, but can't remember if it was just third-hand, or from a BNP "white paper".

dollius · 05/06/2009 16:09

It's hilarious because Nick Eriksen (whose name does not sound entirely "British" to me)writes on that very same blog that he is against abortion because women are responsible for getting pregnant so they should carry on with the pregnancy. Oh, and there's no such thing as rape if it is perpetrated by someone you "know" - so a pregnancy resulting from that would also be the woman's responsibility.

That blog is hosted by the Telegraph - they should have taken it down.

brightongirldownunder · 05/06/2009 16:09

Are you reading this AA? If so I hope you're feeling very ashamed of yourself.

onthehill · 05/06/2009 16:13

OMG just read that post from dollius. I work in Domestic Violence support, and I felt (or hoped!) that these medieval (sp) attitudes towards women were slowly being put behind us. Do you think voting for the BNP cos they have 'the guts to sort this country out' is REALLY a good idea, even if it involves the oppression of women, ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, and kittens? (Made that bit up, but might as well be!) Durrrrr

pingping · 05/06/2009 16:15

Dollius One of the leaders said rape wasn't bad because Women enjoyed sex and that it would be worse for a woman to lose there Handbag than to be raped

Peachy · 05/06/2009 16:48

'I remember one women who considered herself British through and through ( whatever that means) more British than a cuppa, roots going back x generations, etc etc was absolutely outraged when her test results came back that she had I think Middle Eastern blood in her and was not all that "British" at all.'

My Grandad (guaranteed to have voted BNP, sadly, which is why he ahs a ban from being in most of our houses with the crap he spouts) had his family tree done about 5 yeras ago: Welsh Welsh all the way, as expected.Oh except for the Asian bloke shoved in . Whilst that explais the genetic milk intol many of us have, silly man thinks Aunt put it there to wind him up

lljkk · 05/06/2009 17:06

Well, I wouldn't come back to this thread either if I had started it, due to the vicious attacks.

Even if OP was a troll, there are people who DO vote BNP and do feel self-righteous about it; not all of them are loonies -- and some of them may even lurk on MN . Has anyone started a thread about why do otherwise seemingly sensible people vote BNP?

pranma · 05/06/2009 17:21

I cant believe a parent would do that, what an awful example for your dcs.I thought their supporters were all dysfunctional young men not intelligent[?]mothers.

londonone · 05/06/2009 17:23

barnsleybelle - that was kind of my point! It is very well known that a BNP member made those comments in a blog and was then I think kicked out of the party due to bad publicity (i Think) so it seems a little convenient that you heard just the same thing yourself. That is why I don't believe you.

londonone · 05/06/2009 17:28

barnsleybelle - Yes as I thought the BNP removed Nick Eriksen from their list of candidates after the rape/cake comments were attributed to him yet you heard someone from the BNP reiterating those comments through a loud speaker? Sorry definitely sounds rather unlikely.

dollius · 05/06/2009 17:29

Doesn't mean someone couldn't be repeating what he said.

Kimi · 05/06/2009 17:34

As I have said here before a few years ago I went with my friend M to vote, one of the BNP members was at the polling station, as we were coming out my friend grabbed his hand and shook it saying keep up the good work, keep the black bastards out. The BNP bloke was a picture and it got in to the local paper.

You see M is Jamaican, How I did not piss myself laughing I will never know

londonone · 05/06/2009 17:36

Just seems odd that a BNP supporter would specifically choose to reiterate something that got another party member into trouble, don't you think? I suspect barnsleybelle had heard this particular piece of vitriol and used it as her example to up the shock factor.

chipmonkey · 05/06/2009 17:37

I have to confess I had never read the BNP manifesto as I am Irish and living in Ireland as I thought I never needed to, can't vote in the UK, obviously!
But I have just read this:
"We would abolish state-supported segregation in education. In the long run, we wish to end the conflict in Ireland by welcoming Eire as well as Ulster as equal partners in a federation of the nations of the British Isles."
Welcoming Eire? Were they going to ask us first?

Very scary in other parts of their site as they refer to immigrants as "invaders"

The whole thing is a very chilling read. Horrible, horrible party.
.

dollius · 05/06/2009 17:38

I don't think it is odd that Nick Eriksson has his groupies who like to repeat what he says. He was only chucked out because the papers found out who had written that blog - they all think the same things as him.

londonone · 05/06/2009 17:40

dollius - you sound like you know them personally.

BTW does anyone know why different councils in England have their local elections in different years?

chipmonkey · 05/06/2009 17:40

londonone, having read their manifesto and a good portion of their site, I would have to say, intelligence doesn't seem to be one of their strong points so maybe Mr Stringy-haired Tank is stupid enough to quote his ill-fated friend.

londonone · 05/06/2009 17:43

chipmonkey - Perhaps he is I just happen to think not. However it is extremely foolish to simply disregard all BNP members as stupid, very foolish indeed.

tiredemma · 05/06/2009 17:47

Had a look at their website, who are the geezers the cigars? they look like fucking idiots.

Their website and manifesto looks as if it has been drawn up by someone with the mental age of 8.

barnsleybelle · 05/06/2009 17:48

londonone.... Regardless of your continuing assertion that i am a liar i had absolutely no idea that this had been said before until dollius posted the link. As i have previously posted i have a very limited political knowledge and i catagorically state that i heard this very comment through a loud haler in Barnsley town centre during half term whilst out shopping with my children and a friend. She too heard it, but i suppose she's a liar too.

londonone · 05/06/2009 17:50

In that case it should be easy to logically dismatle their arguments. Why not do that instead of just swearing and name calling.
