I'm beginning to give up all hope about the possibility of educating you dp.

You are born gay as you are born straight.

Why don't you fancy women dp? I can't understand why you won't even consider sex with a woman.

I think everyone should try it both ways... just for, y'know, information purposes at least!

daftpunk · 28/05/2009 23:08

oh yeah..they are, but she'd get on my bloody nerves after a week......pmt, headaches, moaning..bla bla bla

Thunderduck · 28/05/2009 23:10

...Wonders if DP was serious about that ''How can you not fancy men?'' comment.

daftpunk · 28/05/2009 23:11

I can confirm that daftpunk has arms and legs and everything! (She is lovely, btw)

PMSL!

I can quite understand how a woman could fancy another woman. But I happen to prefer men.

JoPie · 28/05/2009 23:15

PMSL @ mahoosive turkey baster! I always wondered how that got into the popular imagination, why would you unless you were using a pint of the stuff

daftpunk · 28/05/2009 23:17

leningrad..you tart!

Anyhow (tosses beautiful hair) can we get back to the OP?

And seriously. What can we do to stop the BNP? I haven't felt so strongly about a party/movement for a long while.

I'm shocked to the core about their broadcasts/leaflets, because it's so clear that they're targeting the Daily Mail/Sun 'trigger happy' vote. Trying to appear normal and mainstream and reasonable.

How can we do something to stop them?

Oh yes - I always vote. I couldn't imagine not voting.

I just wonder how we can do more before people go off and vote for the BNP.

I feel that the other parties have to raise their game somehow - all this ridiculous stuff about expenses isn't helping.

daftpunk · 29/05/2009 08:53

biwi....what do you mean "stop them"....you can't really can you....they are out there and imo that's a good thing...because having parties like the BNP stop people becoming complacent ..possibly?..maybe?

MichKit · 29/05/2009 13:16

I wonder if I will be wasting my vote if I vote for the Green Party? They have several points that I really believe in, but what's stopping me is that I might then split the vote between them and the LibDems, and end up putting a party whose manifesto I don't believe in into power (Lab, Tory). I am cross with the LibDems, but I'd rather they were in power. BNP/ UKIP who?

I voted Labour the first time I ever voted, but they have seriously disillusioned me (check out the Wirral Libraries row), so I won't be voting them this time.

Am I just being silly and indecisive? This is only the second election I am voting in, and I really want my vote to count.

MachuPicchu · 29/05/2009 13:23

Michkit, MEP elections are done by proportional representation rather than first past the post (as in UK general elections), so the party will get a percentage of seats based on the percentage of overall votes they got.

MichKit · 29/05/2009 13:55

Oh, I know that, I had to study about proportional representation for the 'Life in the UK' test. Ona separate note, I wonder how many Brits would pass that test though

I guess I am going to go with my convictions and vote Green this time round.

Sorry - and possibly true about the test...

MichKit · 29/05/2009 14:19

Hey, you don't have to be sorry I am actually surprised people know about prop rep, considering Sorry !!
