Genuine observation here, not trying to stir anything. It just seems a lot less cliquey and bum-licky. My replies are recognised and appreciated. I hope newbies feel welcomed and that there isn't some barrier that you have to cross in order to become 'popular'.

Well?

'Whose' is the possessive form of 'who' VVVQ

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/05/2009 18:48

I know, but what better way to attract her attention

Dumbledoresgirl · 22/05/2009 18:50

Sorry, I didn't finish my last post because ds3 banged his knee for the second time in an hour and I had to stop to administer cuddles and ice cream. I meant to finish with "ignorance is bliss".

Caramel shortbread is also known as millionaire's shortbread. I am sure you know it but if not I will post the recipe. Whatever you do, don't use anything other than butter!

flashharriet · 22/05/2009 19:02

Do you know what, I really miss a lot of the moldies and wish they would still post here, for example www and marina who AFAIK were never mean to anyone and in fact were incredibly helpful wherever they could be.

They and a great many other totally blameless and lovely posters are never likely to come back if every time they dip a toe in the water they're sniped at by people who should know better. The moral high ground is starting to look a little shakey from where I'm standing.

daftpunk · 22/05/2009 19:05

flashharriet...they didn't have to leave did they?...they went because they wanted to..

catinthehat2 · 22/05/2009 19:06

he he he

Just think of all those MPs on suicide watch as well Harriet! They need your support as well.

2shoes · 22/05/2009 19:07

unless someone come on here with a big flashing " I am a moldie" badge, how would anyone know?
so imo there is nothing stopping people posting on bit places.

We should make a vow to be really kind to anyone who we suspect of being a moldie. Poor things, they want to come on MN really but they are scared of us vipers beign mean to them.

And of course, not mention it at all.

flashharriet · 22/05/2009 19:10

No, there's nothing to stop them posting...apart from the

pitchforks
sniping
bitchiness
accusations

etc etc

whenever any of them appears on any thread (and woe betide two or more appearing on the same thread, that really gets the knitting needles clicking)

Yes, I'm surprised they're not here more often

daftpunk · 22/05/2009 19:13

flash...as 2shoes just said..how would we know them anymore?...i don't even look at names half the time.

catinthehat2 · 22/05/2009 19:13

clickety clickety

one knitting needle per moldie I'm afraid Hats old girl

daftpunk · 22/05/2009 19:15

what is the obsession with knitting on here?...who knits anymore ffs.

flashharriet · 22/05/2009 19:17

Well 2shoes and DP, what a shame more people aren't like you.

MN is no more inclusive and no less bitchy than it was pre-moldiegate IMO, just the targets have changed.

daftpunk · 22/05/2009 19:19

well that's true..me and 2shoes are saints...no doubt about it...

come on flash...who's annoying you?

southeastastra · 22/05/2009 19:20

how can you not look at posters names? don't get that

flashharriet · 22/05/2009 19:25

It's May.

That's FIVE MONTHS since it all kicked off.

Lay your grudges down, people. You'll feel so much better for it.

daftpunk · 22/05/2009 19:26

lol...now i know you're just taking the piss

flashharriet · 22/05/2009 19:28

Me? No, I'm deadly serious.

Dumbledoresgirl · 22/05/2009 19:30

OK Justabout and VVVQV, I have posted my calorie uncontrolled recipe in the recipe section where I hope all will see it, laugh at my witticisms, make the product and post of its yumminess. It is called Caramel Slice circa 1980 for all interested parties.

And daftpunk, I still knit. Unfortunately, I can no longer take my knitting to the guillotine for some secondary entertainment.

southeastastra · 22/05/2009 19:30

i knit, knitting is the new rock n roll, get with it

southeastastra · 22/05/2009 19:32

i'm knitting this atm

daftpunk · 22/05/2009 19:32

southeastastra...i look at names but don't remember them iykwim...i only remember names i like.

Dumbledoresgirl · 22/05/2009 19:33

LOL sea. Ds3 and I clicked on that link all unsuspecting and it made us laugh out loud.

daftpunk · 22/05/2009 19:35
