Genuine observation here, not trying to stir anything. It just seems a lot less cliquey and bum-licky. My replies are recognised and appreciated. I hope newbies feel welcomed and that there isn't some barrier that you have to cross in order to become 'popular'.

QS - I am sorry if you have encountered that sort of attitude. I have never witnessed it myself. If moldies get a response like that when they post on here well then I think that is poor showing by non-moldies and new mumsnetters. And not so indicative of a less bitchy, more relaxed, more open-minded forum. So am still sitting on fence in reply to op.
