to think Mumset is a whole lot better post-Mouldiegate?

Genuine observation here, not trying to stir anything. It just seems a lot less cliquey and bum-licky. My replies are recognised and appreciated. I hope newbies feel welcomed and that there isn't some barrier that you have to cross in order to become 'popular'.

Well?

i laughed, mp. they're almost wholly responsible for the trend towards sub-prime lending in the US as well, sending a carefully-placed line of economic dominoes toppling in a manner that has resulted in a global credit crunch and Woolies closing. those bitches.

Lol Aitch. It reminds me of this

Dumbledoresgirl · 22/05/2009 15:15

This clip reminds me of the Moldie defenders

AitchTwoOh · 22/05/2009 15:16

lol, snap!

Ledodgy · 22/05/2009 15:17

Touché

morningpaper · 22/05/2009 15:20

hehehe

It WAS bad that they have been fiddling their expenses though. They should NOT expect tax-payers to pay for their crocs

I've just been criticised for telling another Mumsnetter, who was asking the whereabouts of a mouldie, where she was!

Apparently my comment of "she's on the other site, sorry." is stirring.

Which is, frankly, ridiculous! I wouldn't care but the person in question is one I used to get on with very very well and have never had a cross word with!

Oh yeah....well done Reality (was reading it as Lupusina LLamasuit as well).

Kittywise, that doesn't sound much like the MN of old that I remember to be fair.
Although I do know that the Moldies regularly frequent the audience of The Jeremy Kyle show.

kittywise · 22/05/2009 16:26

lizzylou, must have been the threads I was frequenting

pingping · 22/05/2009 16:37

just a quick thing am I the only one that thinks its undercover Moldies starting threads just to see if they are being missed?????

TrillianAstra · 22/05/2009 16:53

I read Lupusina too - a nice lady wolf

Stinkermink · 22/05/2009 16:56

Isn't Lupus also that illness they always test for first on House?

PMSL I read MP's post about sex texts and in my innocence believed it....until she said they turned the oven up high...that's just not very green behaviour.

Stinkermink · 22/05/2009 17:05

Holy crap, I killed it...... and it took me hours to get through that lot

LupusinaLlamasuit · 22/05/2009 17:11

I like to think Madama Lupusina Llamasuit (spoken with full Spanish accent) gives it that kind of South American whore overtone.

But yes, it is, strictly speaking, the other one. And not the awful disease either, which I have not yet been accused of wilfully mocking

InternationalFlight · 22/05/2009 17:11

Hi Rhubs

I don't know if I'm on this thread somewhere already. Well I am now.

I didn't realise I had upset you this much.

tbh I'd forgotten she was a moldie, being that she's still a Mumsnetter...does that help? Perhaps I ought to bear grudges a bit better

LupusinaLlamasuit · 22/05/2009 17:13

Anyway, I can't take credit for it. Was Threadworm's literary genius in one of her many guises.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/05/2009 18:15

Just wanted to say "hi" to DG, who was very lovely to me a long time ago, when I was in a very dark place

I certainly miss the days when it was smaller, and active convos didn't scroll like a ticker. I struggle to keep up in such a big place now so I get bored quickly!

For that reason it also seemed easier to make friends then too, and people were definitely less likely to take posts at face value - which was always good for people like me who wear mint shoes as standard! I keep coming back, hoping it's how it was, and that maybe I was just feeling jaded, but it isn't. Well done to MNHQ for making a huge success of it though

Dumbledoresgirl · 22/05/2009 18:22

I am not being funny about this but there are a lot of rarely seen posters on this thread. Quite like old times

Just a thought to those who feel the threads are too frequent and move too quickly (it might also help me who dislikes whole sections such as AIBU): how about opting out of vast sections? I often think I could survive quite happily with just chat and health showing. Hmmm, if I wasn't about to go on holiday, I might try that.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/05/2009 18:29

It could work, but, you'd have to get great swathes of folks who feel the same, to do the same thing for the same topics, otherwise you'd be the only one, whilst everyone else is swimming against the HUGE tide of threads and posts in active convos. And then, undoubtedly, there'd be further cries of "clique", if a group of posters did do this.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/05/2009 18:32

However, it wouldnt take away a certain element of posters who wander on to threads who drag 'issues' across threads, hold grudges, and/or are obnoxious or rude (which was my main problem with this place).

Dumbledoresgirl · 22/05/2009 18:38

Yes, but you wouldn't know what grudges they were holding!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/05/2009 18:41

LOL! If only. Now, what I REALLY want to know is, how do you make caramel shortbread???

(also to aitch who's posts always scratch my itch )
