to think Mumset is a whole lot better post-Mouldiegate?

Genuine observation here, not trying to stir anything. It just seems a lot less cliquey and bum-licky. My replies are recognised and appreciated. I hope newbies feel welcomed and that there isn't some barrier that you have to cross in order to become 'popular'.

Well?

Trillian is even more dangerously obsessed and underemployed as me FACT

TrillianAstra · 22/05/2009 12:26

If I could get a job where I could MN that would be great

Sadly I can't get any job, MNable or not

hellsbelles · 22/05/2009 12:26

blimey - didn't realise there was such a huge issue behind making sure all posts were witty and worthy - rather than just finding out about info from other mothers to help get through the day. Only joined a couple of days ago but glad I wasn't around during Mouldiegate as I would certainly not have been on their invite list (far too bloody boring) - and would have been transported back to 'last one picked for the team' school nightmares!

BitOfFun · 22/05/2009 12:27

Well, I've had a nice little chat on this thread this morning...sounds like the old days to me < sigh >

We could be a new clique and everything!

Makeda · 22/05/2009 12:28

Aitch I'm not saying anyone is doing any kind of dictating, just that it's dangerous when people do.

(I think people were being extra nice to me because I said I was a newbie on a thread where people were complaining that new people were ignored )

I love the debates on MN and the disagreements of opinion, and the fact that most people get told straight if their opinion is disagreed with. I have a very bad habit of being pretentious (see last post), and hopefully MN will knock that out of me!

BitOfFun · 22/05/2009 12:28

Oh just join in here, Hellsbelles...we're one evolutionary step up (or is it down?) from ants now apparently, you'll be fine

BitOfFun · 22/05/2009 12:29

< gives Makeda a good kicking >

screamingabdab · 22/05/2009 12:30

hellesbelles Good post. That's how I feel. And I'm bloody funny and really really clever

daftpunk · 22/05/2009 12:34

aitch..remember where your loyalties lie ...you are starting to sound like the moldies PR.

BitOfFun · 22/05/2009 12:36

Aitch is NOT a mouldy , she is quite normal.

AitchTwoOh · 22/05/2009 12:41

i like some, indeed most, of the moldies very very much indeed. i'm loyal to my friends, not some website or other.

Dumbledoresgirl · 22/05/2009 12:50

Shame some Moldies don't have the same virtues as you Aitch.

(Sorry, couldn't resist).

BoysAreLikeDogs · 22/05/2009 12:52

I agree with Aitch

Honest to God to read this one might think that Mouldies are the AntiChrist

Cake or Death anyone

AitchTwoOh · 22/05/2009 12:52

arf.

screamingabdab · 22/05/2009 13:00

Ironing whilst watching Loose Women.

Shoot me now

Ledodgy · 22/05/2009 13:01
daftpunk · 22/05/2009 13:03

i used to like loose women...stopped watching when kay adams left.

Hotcrossbunny · 22/05/2009 13:07

Spent hours on MN this morning reading all this, when I should have been ironing.

Nothing much has changed

BTW - how do you find out how long you've been here? I should know, I've been here years...

screamingabdab · 22/05/2009 13:08

daftpunk Agree. Sadly she had to go as she was not thick or reactionary enough ........

Anyway, did not mean to start a thread about LW, was just watching by accident

As you were

scottishmummy · 22/05/2009 13:24

ahh yes the educated non peurile MN of whre high brow conversation and musings happend over the keyboard

haha- slightly licentious to say it used to be more intelligent

i remember cliquey "oi come over here so and so"

Inventing thread topics to intice people to post whilst the few pissed themselves laughing at the hoi polloi who posted unaware it was a trick

traipsing over the bereaved mums thread starting a ruck.just for sake of it

shouting "done that" if anyone dared post a query

calling people newbies and harping on about good ole days

TBCoalman · 22/05/2009 13:31

I've been misreading Ledodgy as Lego orgy.

daftpunk · 22/05/2009 13:32

scottishmummy;

are your posts available in english?

Ledodgy · 22/05/2009 13:33

ROFL! Lego Orgy! My god that sounds painful, it urts enough when you stand on the bloody stuff.

Ledodgy · 22/05/2009 13:33

*hurts

scottishmummy · 22/05/2009 13:35

but they are hyper-flexible so might be fun all the legs over ears
