Genuine observation here, not trying to stir anything. It just seems a lot less cliquey and bum-licky. My replies are recognised and appreciated. I hope newbies feel welcomed and that there isn't some barrier that you have to cross in order to become 'popular'.

Well?

Oh and the dumbing down of MN has little to do with Moldies leaving and a hell of a lot to do with am I being unreasonable

If MN is equivalent to the tv broadcasting network, AIBU is the Jeremy Kyle Show.

Ants are highly intello, and strong

BitOfFun · 22/05/2009 11:30

I can probably get away with saying that ants don't have arseholes now if we're done for anyway...

Er, yes

< gets coat >

AitchTwoOh · 22/05/2009 11:32

jusatbout that would be great, thanks.

surely people are just answering the OP? she thinks it's better now (as do some) and others think it isn't? it's about 50-50 in my estimation, which is interesting even if you do take into account a couple of oldies making a reappearance. (i must count threadie in that number, of course. [grin}

blame the OP for this stirring, don't make it into a cult of MN where you aren't allowed to post if you don't worship every bit of it. we are allowed to talk on a talkboard, surely to christ?

agree with BALD. as usual.

TrillianAstra · 22/05/2009 11:34

Why is it poncetastic to say fora rather than forums?

I mean, it's not poncetastic to say geese instead of gooses, or mice instead of mouses, is it?

VinegarTits · 22/05/2009 11:35

for BOF

joshhollowayspieceofass · 22/05/2009 11:35

Chatta - that colour doesn't suit you.

It makes you look old.

AitchTwoOh · 22/05/2009 11:35

very much agree with you re aibu, dg. although plenty of people on here like jk, so that's quite in line with the new, bigger mn.

AitchTwoOh · 22/05/2009 11:36

true, trillian. but don't mention anything about dumbing-down...

BitOfFun · 22/05/2009 11:37

A whole book on it? Blimey

Aitch, I think plenty is stretching it...

VinegarTits · 22/05/2009 11:39

I disagree that AIBU is the JK of MN, i cant stand JK, i freqent AIBU, it has always been a controversal topic, thats one thing that hasnt changed on MN

ClaireDeLoon · 22/05/2009 11:39

Sorry to be thick but 'JK'?

Oh OK I get it now - Jeremy Kyle

Ledodgy · 22/05/2009 11:40

Yes but the aibu topic itself is relatively new.

Tamarto · 22/05/2009 11:40

I did, posts and posts ago.

I don't worship every bit, i just ignore the bits i don't like.

How many times does someone need to say how much they dislike a site before they stop visiting said shite site?
