Try using the phone, or email, or FB in future...

Or are you just after attention?

Who you on about?

DevilsAdvocaat · 22/02/2009 20:45

who you torkin about?

also, this is a bit ironic, no?

BoysAreLikeDogs · 22/02/2009 20:47

AIBU to think that one should tackle the poster on the offending thread instead of trailing disagreements around the boards and starting threads about threads grrrr

Get a grip

wotulookinat · 22/02/2009 20:47

eh?

mm22bys · 22/02/2009 20:47

No it's not ironic because I am not hoping one particular person is going to notice this...

mm22bys · 22/02/2009 20:48

Acually no, maybe I should have posted on Site Stuff, to ask there if it's ok to direct a MN thread to one particular person.

Thanks for the idea!

Right-O, so what are we respinding to then? YABU but only because i cannot fathom what the fuck you're on about!

PaulaMummyKnowsBest · 22/02/2009 20:50

i know that I'm blonde but I don't get this thread

BoysAreLikeDogs · 22/02/2009 20:50

Oh my word are you in a fighty mood OP?

ConnorTraceptive · 22/02/2009 20:51

I think I know what thread you are talking about but cannot for the life of me figure out why you've got your knickers in a twist about it.

Unless it's an offensive thread then take a chill pill!

ScottishMummy · 22/02/2009 20:52

so you are starting AIBU thread about unknown poster hoping they specifically reply?why

if you know them why don't you try using the phone, or email, or FB in future...

Linky linky

wotulookinat · 22/02/2009 20:54

Good post, ScottishMummy

ConnorTraceptive · 22/02/2009 20:55

Of course it ok to direct an mn thread at one particular person unless it's to say "oi I think you're a knob"
in which case that's bad form.

mm22bys · 22/02/2009 20:55

No, ScottishMummy, that is not what I wanted to do, and I wouldn't personally use AIBU in that way, but I was wondering if it is not U to direct an AIBU thread at a particular person (ie putting their name in the thread title...).

ScottishMummy, that is exactly my point (your last point about phone, email, etc), and why I started the thread!

AnyFucker · 22/02/2009 20:56

OP, tackle the person directly

should work, instead of pissing around with these indirect bollocks

ConnorTraceptive · 22/02/2009 20:57

but does it matter though?? really??? i don't get where you are coming from?????

DogMa · 22/02/2009 20:58

Right, well if you're talking bout the Pinkchampagne/Pinkbubble thread, then yes, YABFU.

Jeez, they are chatting away with other people as well - s'not like they're keeping it exclusive. It's nice to have chat threads on here and so what if it's in a certain topic?

Jeez, there's no limit to the number of threads we can start you know? It's not like their using up our 'quota' or summat.

Go and brew up for Christ sake. Take a break.

Stretch · 22/02/2009 20:59

And again I post....Pot.Kettle.

Hulababy · 22/02/2009 21:00

There have always ben threads on MN which are just chatting between two or three people - normally the thread tite gives it away.

Why on earth would it bother anyone?

Just don't read it if you don't want to!

ScottishMummy · 22/02/2009 21:00

well,i think it is bit cliquey to start a specific thread for named person on an open forum.unless it is about a specific thing eg Pram trading.hey hun have you posted my phlegm coloured bugaboo yet

smacks of the ole "oi my NBF come over here..." that used to go on

wotulookinat · 22/02/2009 21:01

snigger

mm22bys · 22/02/2009 21:03

I've seen loads of "private" convos before, but not one in AIBU.

I'll know now to expect more of it here
