Try using the phone, or email, or FB in future...

Or are you just after attention?

spit it oot.which flamin post?who?when?

It is a bit odd, but maybe the OP of that thread was reading/taking part in an AIBU thread when she got the news that upset her, wanted to talk to her mate and clicked "start new thread" without thinking which topic she was in? I know I've done that sort of thing before.

I hardly think it merits a whole new thread about it though, so YAdeffoBU.

You're probably right 5...

I'm torn, this sort of thing annoys me on another forum but that's because there is the ability to private message for free.

However on MN, CATing costs I believe?? So I guess it's fairly reasonable to post a thread for the attention of a particular poster

A CHAT THREAD IN AIBU???? I HATE it when they file threads in the wrong topic!! Natter goes in CHAAAAAAAAAT people. It's not rocket science.

What's that? Am I really so totally without life that such trivialities piss me off?

erm......

HecateQueenOfGhosts · 26/02/2009 09:26

I think if you know each other in rl, then choosing to natter on here instead of msn, text, or phone is daft. My sis is on here and we may comment on the same threads, or exchange a few words, but if we want a proper chat, we do it on yahoo! I wonder what need they are fulfilling to opt to have a conversation with audience. But I'd never say so.
