well.......my dh walks our bouncy 'manly' springer with no probs - however he's the type to not feel emasculated by anything.

My ex-dh cited as one of his reasons for leaving was buying rabbit food as the checkout attendant said 'bit old for that aren't you' in a jokey way and he wasn't manly enough to front it out. (either by lying if he was really embarassed and saying it was his child's or by telling the truth and saying it was his wife's rabbit).
