I received an email from facebook earlier giving me a warning for a picture I had in one of my albums. Apperntley it was too obscene and if I posted it again I would be banned.

Iam fuming at this and really want to complain about their negativity.

The picture is the first one on my profile. Is it obscene, because I really dont think it is.

I'm shocked at their attitude!

WalkinginWaynettaWonderland · 21/12/2008 18:31

lou33 · 21/12/2008 18:31

they seriously thought that was obscene?!

NewKnickersFromSantaOnMaHead · 21/12/2008 18:32

No TiredEmma. Tis a picture of ds just after a feed.

cornsilk · 21/12/2008 18:32

So they allow blatant racism and think that breastfeeding is obscene. Very strange.

LiffeySaysNollaigShona · 21/12/2008 18:32

well, post it here so we can judge whether or not YABU!!

hotCheeseBurns · 21/12/2008 18:32

It's not obscene. I'm not sure why you'd want it on facebook though.

SparklyBaubleFeast · 21/12/2008 18:33

OMG . You are doing the most natural thing in the world - feeding your baby. You can't see any nipples either so really don't see what the problem is. How do they know what you have posted anyway? Could someone have complained? Surely FB have seen a lot worse in drunken pics??

NewKnickersFromSantaOnMaHead · 21/12/2008 18:34

HotCheeseBurns, beacuse I am proud to be breastfeeding ds after not doing so with dd, and I really love the photo. Only my friends can see it btw.

OP posts:
Simplysally · 21/12/2008 18:34

Someone must have complained for them to have noticed it. Anyone on your friends list you've fell out with recently?

LiffeySaysNollaigShona · 21/12/2008 18:34

WEll, DID it contain any of that?

Can we have a butchers?

NewKnickersFromSantaOnMaHead · 21/12/2008 18:35

I have no idea NotAlone, I doubt any of my friends would complain about it.

lou33 · 21/12/2008 18:35

knickers, can i just say i chuckled at the pic immediately after the one fb removed

DorisIsAPinkDragon · 21/12/2008 18:35

Def NBU any fool can see you are breastfeeding !!!

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 21/12/2008 18:35

it has a clear picture of a your nipple

and your dc is not actually feeding

not obscene, but out of context could be seen to be "titillating", geddit

so I actually agree, it shouldn't be on FB

I am sure I will be in the minority here, but hey-hum

your dc are lovely, btw

NewKnickersFromSantaOnMaHead · 21/12/2008 18:35

Liffey, it's n my profile.

OP posts:
tiredemma · 21/12/2008 18:36

smug twats.

So they can allow groups that actively support racism, violence, torture (kill the mother of baby p eyc) and they tell you to remove a BF pic.

knobheads

DorisIsAPinkDragon · 21/12/2008 18:36

Can you not doctor it with a big censored over your nip

NewKnickersFromSantaOnMaHead · 21/12/2008 18:37

Thanks AnyFucker Fair enough, you can see abit of nipple, but ds had just that second unlatched. Men can have there nips showing though!

OP posts:
sticksantaupyourchimney · 21/12/2008 18:38

I think there is already a campaign telling Facebook to remove the stick from its collective arse on the subject of breastfeeding.
Now while there is the possibility that some random perve or other could be having a good old Whitesnake over a picture of a mum feeding a baby, surely that's something for the individual mum to worry about.

Notalonestarofbethlehem · 21/12/2008 18:38

Oh -sorry. Didn't see that one, thought it was the main pic. Even so, it is blatantly not obscene. As tiredemma says - wonder who makes these decisions cos they need their heads reading

LiffeySaysNollaigShona · 21/12/2008 18:38

OH right, sorry I'm a bit slow.

Their definition of obscene needs to be re-defined. How odd. I don't blame you, I'd send them a stinking letter.

Is it maybe a computer-generated complaint.
I have received those on another board, when some fool disagrees with you and so reports you! BUT then when the staff get in to the office the next day they send a mail saying, your post was not offensive and the email you received last night was computer-generated.

lou33 · 21/12/2008 18:39

put a big pic of benny hill saluting over your nipple
