I went to a well known high street store and was served by a lady who had tourettes. I have no problem with this or any of her ticks BUT she kept saying cunt and wanker - i dont use these words in front of my children so dont expect others to AIBU in expecting that she shouldnt be serving customers?

It was rather disconcerting to be told "thats £20.00 please, cunt, wanker"

JimJam - I think you are a coward, it would be far more beneficial to say what you think when you are out and about. Waste of time on here.

I disagree with you seanbean. Talking through here is beneficial. Lots of mumsnetters are informed on mumsnet on all sorts of attitudes including sen issues.
Do you really suggest jimjams should voice her opinions to every ignorant person she meets on the street?

Reallytired · 06/12/2008 11:25

jimjamshaslefttheyurt, I suspect that my employer is so forward thinking that the DDA would not have been necessary if all employers were like them.

However I take do take your point. The DDA does change attitude. In someways people with disablities are in a bit of a chicken and egg situation.

Before jimjamshaslefttheyurt a coward, I suggest you offer to babysit first.

It's usually not actually possible to talk to the tut tut brigade whilst I'm caring for ds1 MrsSeanBean. They tut tut because ds1 is kicking off. If I stopped to explain he would end up under a car.

MrsSeanBean when you joined, did you not read the bit about personal attacks?
