Strange behaviour from DH

DH has always liked horses. His mother and his aunt had a riding stable. At great expense, he keeps two horses and rides every evening and most weekends. The garage is full of tack and muddy boots. On our honeymoon, four years ago, we went to a dude ranch in Wyoming. We have pictures of horses all over the house.

The trouble is that he now wants to bring a bridle and a riding crop into bed.

AIBU to have had quite enough of horses?

Or do you think your relationship is stable?

VinegarTits · 20/11/2008 22:59

pmsl NorthernLurker, i was trying to keep a straight face

Anifrangapani · 20/11/2008 22:59

Or is he sowing his wild oats?

Sickofhorses · 20/11/2008 22:59

LOL At least you are making me laugh at the problem. I quite like horses but you can have too much horse.

It must really hack you orf.

NorthernLurker · 20/11/2008 23:00

Vt - just try to keep your mind on the mane issue

VinegarTits · 20/11/2008 23:00

He needs whipping into shape

Flynnie · 20/11/2008 23:01

maybe the bay mare thinks the same.

Flynnie · 20/11/2008 23:01

regarding too much horse that is.

NorthernLurker · 20/11/2008 23:02

I maybe we're being too harsh. Never judge a man till you've walked a mile in his jodphurs.

Anifrangapani · 20/11/2008 23:02

I hope he doesn't hoof it and you can work it out

Anifrangapani · 20/11/2008 23:03

Although if he does It may spur you into action

Sickofhorses · 20/11/2008 23:03

You think the horses might've had enough as well? How would I find out?

He wisps the bay for hours. Do you know what wisping is? It involves getting a bit of hay into a figure of eight shape and then sort of brushing with it/ All the time he does this, he makes a clicking sound and gets quite red with exertion ...

llareggub · 20/11/2008 23:03

just say neigh

HuwEdwards · 20/11/2008 23:04

I'm really sorry, and I know I'm going against general opinion here, but I think he will be moving out to the stables soon.

He is shagging the bay mare.

Leave the bastard and get legal advice asap.

Ronaldinhio · 20/11/2008 23:05

have you tried lunging for him?

Ronaldinhio · 20/11/2008 23:06

lungeing

Anifrangapani · 20/11/2008 23:07

Or keeping him on a shor rein?

Sickofhorses · 20/11/2008 23:07

God, do you think he is? There's photos of her on his mobile ...

OP posts:
Anifrangapani · 20/11/2008 23:07

short even

GibbonInARibbon · 20/11/2008 23:08

And a bay too? at least with a palomino you know you're inviting trouble.

HuwEdwards · 20/11/2008 23:08

Are the photos slutty?

Flynnie · 20/11/2008 23:08

Tell him your more of a dog girl and introduce a dog lead and a dvd of lassie.

Desiderata · 20/11/2008 23:11

Don't get in a lather, darling. I'm sure it'll all snort itself out.

Sickofhorses · 20/11/2008 23:12

The photos look quite innocent really. Part of the problem is that DS (now 3) really likes horses now as well. He is being inducted into this world of horse-fancying. DH is currently eyeing up a shetland pony. For DS you understand.
