to think that my childminder is supplying drugs to my wife...

I have an older wife who is about the same age as our childminder. My childminder is very odd, she says she is a grandmother but no-one has ever seen evidence of children, she lives in a dingy basement flat near the river and has a dummy in her front room that she talks to and dresses up. so I have always thought she ws a bit odd.
My wife is a taxi driver but only ever seems to have one fare a day, and then she never seems to have made any money. She has been known to spend hours ferrying one passenger across town. I wonder if she is going off and getting waster with our CM and this is where all the money goes?
She is weirdly happy for someone in such a low wage job and although she seems to have plenty of time in the mornings she hardly ever gets up in tiem to take our DD to the CM.

What do you think?

Where did the time go?

poopscoop · 18/11/2008 22:21

are you having a laugh?

UnquietDad · 18/11/2008 22:21

The taxi is pink, right? And you live in Riversea Dingle?

NotanOtterOHappyDay · 18/11/2008 22:22

go play with your train

sparklestickchick · 18/11/2008 22:22

trippity trap

FromGirders · 18/11/2008 22:22

I think you should get back to your cheese toasties and stop blethering. They're just "friends"

Merrylegs · 18/11/2008 22:22

I think
my head has just fallen off.

ILoveMyTrain · 18/11/2008 22:22

How funny, that's what she says, it's as if the whole day goes by in what feels like 20 minutes

(sssssshhh UQ, you'll spoil it)

The childminder is def on something - have you seen how much energy she has at the end of the day!! Plus she's far to nosey always giving out advice

ravenAK · 18/11/2008 22:22

I think you should hook up with PC Plum & forget your irresponsible wife, who is frankly scary anyway.

pooka · 18/11/2008 22:23

The key would be whether she has painted her cab a wacky colour - that would be evidence of her having taken mind-altering drugs.
Does the granny have access to medical staff i.e. a doctor at the local hospital. It could be that she has a supply line in that way.

Bubble99 · 18/11/2008 22:23

How is Claude?

onepieceoflollipop · 18/11/2008 22:24

I always wonder how your cm manages to afford Per Una clothing?

Also, afaik one of her charges is a mad dog.

BarcodeZebra · 18/11/2008 22:24

I think that I hate all of them.

Standing up and sitting down. My arse.

Threadworrm · 18/11/2008 22:25

I know a lad who drives a taxi. I swear he isn't old enough for a licence. He only charges sixpence a ride and spends the whole lot on ice cream. Should I call social services?

ILoveMyTrain · 18/11/2008 22:25

Well, none of you seem to care about this, maybe I'll go jump under my train

Yes but the doctor is on something herself I reckon. Before she goes to work she has to take her dog to the cm, then she messes about for half an hour singing a song about not knowing which way to go.

The nurse does far more "doctor's" work than she does. Once she managed to host a singing demonstration in between patients.

kitsmummy · 18/11/2008 22:25

Oh please enlighten me, what programme is this? Is it the Come Outside or something like that? My 4.5 year old is now apparently way too old to watch beebies and has moved onto cbbc, so i'm out of touch now

RomanCandleQueen · 18/11/2008 22:26

Have you got enough bottled water on board?

onepieceoflollipop · 18/11/2008 22:26

ILMT I would suggest treating your wife to a new hairdo and perhaps some non-pink clothing. That might spice up your personal life a little.

Plonker · 18/11/2008 22:26

Now listen honeypie - you mustn't worry about these things ...

Kewcumber · 18/11/2008 22:27

Riversea Dingle? UQD?!

FFFFFFFFFFFFFingle.

Bubble99 · 18/11/2008 22:27

Why do the band wear 80s Pepsi and Shirley gear?

onepieceoflollipop · 18/11/2008 22:27

It's GrannayMurray (I can spell btw that's just how they pronounce it)
