to think that my childminder is supplying drugs to my wife...

I have an older wife who is about the same age as our childminder. My childminder is very odd, she says she is a grandmother but no-one has ever seen evidence of children, she lives in a dingy basement flat near the river and has a dummy in her front room that she talks to and dresses up. so I have always thought she ws a bit odd.
My wife is a taxi driver but only ever seems to have one fare a day, and then she never seems to have made any money. She has been known to spend hours ferrying one passenger across town. I wonder if she is going off and getting waster with our CM and this is where all the money goes?
She is weirdly happy for someone in such a low wage job and although she seems to have plenty of time in the mornings she hardly ever gets up in tiem to take our DD to the CM.

What do you think?

Come Outside?! My dh was at school with the dog on that . Which makes you v out of touch...

Oh all right, it's 'Me Too'

Kewcumber · 18/11/2008 22:28

come away in you weirdo.

We akk know your wife is a front.

UnquietDad · 18/11/2008 22:28

Threadworrrm - I know that lad. He spends a lot of time in the company of a very suspicious looking bloke with a beard and big ears who I am sure is not CRB checked.

MostlyReindeer · 18/11/2008 22:28

It isn't a programme, it's RL. It is it is it is. I tell them what way to go to work I do

onepieceoflollipop · 18/11/2008 22:29

Threadworrm sometimes he doesn't even wear his seatbelt. Also he is badly exploited by goblins and no one (apart from me and you) seems to care.

MostlyReindeer · 18/11/2008 22:29

Dingle ... dangle... must be the adult version.

UnquietDad · 18/11/2008 22:29

Sorry for getting the name wrong. I haven't watched it for a couple of years. Mine are a bit too old for it now, thank Gawd.

NorthernLurker · 18/11/2008 22:29

Perhaps your wife only has one fare per day because she finds the geography of your town very confusing? It does seem to be an odd blend of landmarks....

kitsmummy · 18/11/2008 22:30

aaah, thank you raven

BarcodeZebra · 18/11/2008 22:32

She's lucky to get any fares at all. It's only £1.10 to get on the bus. That's a bargain to get from the Gherkin to Edinburgh Castle via the Tyne Bridge.

Did anyone else have a message in red at the top of this a few minutes ago saying it had been pulled?? Perhaps mnhq thought they should pull it then realised it was a joke and had second thoughts?

onepieceoflollipop · 18/11/2008 22:34

ILMT did you know that Granny Murray also offers overnight care? Why not pop your dd to stay with her one night and enjoy a night out with your rather odd lovely wife?

UnquietDad · 18/11/2008 22:34

While we are at it, I know a bunch of kids who spend far too much time hanging round with a perky 57-year-old woman with suspiciously glossy hair who claims to be a "journalist" but never does any work. She lives in a huge house which I don't know how she affords. She supposedly "adopted" a boy who appeared from nowhere last year. They all play "saving the world" or something and they are are always jetting off in her car.

MostlyReindeer · 18/11/2008 22:35

Really?? Hohooooo

onepieceoflollipop · 18/11/2008 22:35

saving the world and jetting off in her car. What's the correct term for that? oxymoron?

Personally I'm very worried about DC's teacher who spends all day dealing with the problems of her friends who keep dropping into the nursery school. She spend a lot of time flirting with the local policeman rather than looking after the kids.

I doubt that the teacher's friends who always seem to be at the nursery have been CBC checked. One of them who claims to be an inventor is particularly creepy and has a whiff of paedo about him - he wears a pink kilt FFS.

NorthernLurker · 18/11/2008 22:38

It's worrying how many seemingly unsupported lifestyles one sees isn't it? i know one chap who lives in a castle and does nothing all day apart from mess about with rubbish and try to chat up the nursery teacher. Then there's a woman down the road who is of working age (just about) but does nothing all day except fly an aeroplane and visit factories! And don't get me started about the man who lives in the duckiest little cottage you've ever seen but does nothing except sit in an armchair reading suspiciosly large books. They say he talks to the furniture but i don't like to dwell on these things.

NorthernLurker · 18/11/2008 22:39

Katiechops - thats him, thats him. Castle bloke - he wears a kilt! We must be neighbours eh?

UnquietDad · 18/11/2008 22:40

Then there's that bloke who dresses up in black and carries a staff and leads the local kids on Outward Bound courses or something. They always seem to have a great time but come back muttering disappointedly about not being the Supreme Warrior.

RedSparklersOnHerHead · 18/11/2008 22:40

oh its that sarah smith woman isn't it!?
She sees aliens! I think she's a bit odd.

LynetteScavo · 18/11/2008 22:42

ILoveMYTrain - I think your CM has a drink problem - I really do. Did you know she once took her charges swimming, and insted of gettiing in the pool with them she sat on the side dirnking cocktails!

katiechops · 18/11/2008 22:42

Think you're right NorthernLurker.

Ivvvvyygootscaaared444 · 18/11/2008 22:43

I have lost my pot and feel quite naked - has anyone seen my friend weeing in the garden?
