My friend is 20 weeks pregnant with her 3rd child. She appears to spend a lot of time lying about or sleeping. AIBU to think this is lazy?

1/10

Do try harder.

RustyBear · 01/11/2008 15:11

Yes YABU - you can't possibly know how tired she is feeling.

BBBee · 01/11/2008 15:11

maybe she is having a tough time, maybe she finds pregancy tiring.

whyh would you need to have an opinion on it - unreasonable or not?

dontbelazydaisy · 01/11/2008 15:12

Its a serious question. I am slightly miffed that she seemd to be reating so much.

I felt like shite when pg.
If you are 'concerned' then lazy is not an appropriate word.

EnchantedWithEdwardCullen · 01/11/2008 15:13

Im 32 weeks pregnant and still in my PJs, DH does 90% of everything in the house at the moment,

in his words...' well its the ONLY few months you get to be lazy and relax, the rest of your life you'll be dealing with 3 kids'

YABU.

onepieceoflollipop · 01/11/2008 15:14

Just how does this affect you may I ask? Unless she is also your childminder or employed by you in some other capacity it seems to be none of your business to be quite honest.

Why on earth are you "slightly miffed" How odd.

stayinbed · 01/11/2008 15:14

that is ridiculous, the tiredness you can feel in pregnancy is not something you can physically try to oppose

nickytwooootimes · 01/11/2008 15:14

Oh, well, good for you being a martyr.

Not everyone can get on with it.

Tortington · 01/11/2008 15:14

lazy old heiffer kick her

Surfermum · 01/11/2008 15:14

Some people really struggle when they are pregnant. I did - I was either throwing up or feeling knackered.

Why are you miffed about it?

onepieceoflollipop · 01/11/2008 15:15

I had such severe sickness I was hospitalised. I literally could not eat or drink for many weeks (was on a drip). So excuse me for saying so, but I was knackered by 20/22 weeks and deserved every bit of rest.

EnchantedWithEdwardCullen · 01/11/2008 15:15

With my first pregnancy i just 'got on with it oo'

My 2nd aswell,

this 3rd pregnancy has been hellish! You don't know how she is feeling... Im STILL throwing up, have SPD and dizzy spells!

expatinscotland · 01/11/2008 15:15

YANBU. You are being a troll.

And a really boring one, too.

onepieceoflollipop · 01/11/2008 15:16

custy gives good advice. If it is such a big deal ring her up and say "you are a lazy cow and I am not your friend anymore" She would be well rid tbh.

unknownrebelbang · 01/11/2008 15:16

YABU.

My MIL had a bit of a dig when I was carrying DS1 (over hoovering ffs).

What she didn't know was that I'd had a threatened miscarriage and raised BP, so HAD to rest.

And whilst carrying DS2 and DS3 I had to do whatever necessary to reduce the risk of raised BP to avoid hospitalisation (I was hospitalised at 31 weeks with DS1).

mamalovesmojitos · 01/11/2008 15:16

YABU

pregnancy is different for everybody. i hope this is a joke.

dontbelazydaisy · 01/11/2008 15:16

I don't think it is fair.

OP posts:
onepieceoflollipop · 01/11/2008 15:17

Hope you are not resting expat your only 40+1 you know. Should be washing the roof or something.

misdee · 01/11/2008 15:17

YABU

i am ehausted this time round. no idea why as my stress levels are lower. but spend a lot of time asleep.

unknownrebelbang · 01/11/2008 15:17

And a colleague sneered at me about pregnancy being a "condition not an illness", the week before I was signed off sick by the GP.

nickytwooootimes · 01/11/2008 15:17

Fark off now, there's a dear.

findtheriver · 01/11/2008 15:18

Beat her around the belly with a blunt instrument. That'll make it fair.

dontbelazydaisy · 01/11/2008 15:18

I love it, you lot are so easy to wind up.
