It's not a joke- Greggs is a sacred place in our home. We live across the road from one and it has become our staple lunchtime diet. I will not have a word said against their fat-filled pastry confections.

PuzzleRocks · 28/10/2008 12:26

Agreed, but am I the only one bored of hearing it trotted out? Perhaps so.

I didn't think it was a joke.

CharleeInChains · 28/10/2008 12:27

And don't you dare start on this guy

PuzzleRocks · 28/10/2008 12:27

Shootfromthehip - See I don't mind an inventive twist like that. And apologies, very rude of me to cast aspersions on your culinary choices.

I never tire of the greggs/ fruitshoot admonishments. I also like the chicken nuggets higher moral ground.

PuzzleRocks · 28/10/2008 12:29

MMAM. No. I'm enjoying your berating.

I think what makes them so funny is that there has to be a line that I cannot allow my piss poor parenting to plunge below. I now have one.

AmIWhatAndWhy · 28/10/2008 12:31

Didn't someone on here once mention a greggs drive through? Madness.

shootfromthehip · 28/10/2008 12:32

I covet the drive-through

PuzzleRocks · 28/10/2008 12:34

I see, so more a public service message. Then I retract my statement in the interest of all our children. I'm always happy to be educated.

Blu · 28/10/2008 12:34

Drive-through, or drive-by?

As in death caused by drive-by fruit-shooting?

Drive-by saausage-rolled-over?

PuzzleRocks · 28/10/2008 12:35

Oh the irony of you all making me laugh about bloody Greggs on this thread. I was such a fool.

Tortington · 28/10/2008 12:37

i never understoof why fruit shoots were so bad,

its the sugar i presume and asparteme - i don't know what asparteme does - does it give you cancer or something?

and it it does why is it allowed in fruit shoots.

shootfromthehip · 28/10/2008 12:45

I have always found froot shoots to be quite aggressive characters. I think that is why people don't like them. Their manners are poor too. Bad influences the lot of them.

Lotster · 28/10/2008 12:52

The idea of fruit with shooters appalls me.
