And does this make me a miserable old quichey cliquer?

Cod, Tutter, Hunker, JV, Greeny et al.
All gone.

Even I thought last night that I might take some time off FGS.

yanbu - I miss the larfs. I feel lost at the moment. I don't know who anyone is. I am so angry with the shit stirring trolls and I don't know the full cod story but I get the jist and feel v.sad.

mehgalegs, you can come and cuddle up to our mango mountain in the fruit-loop yurt if you like...

SheikYerbouti · 13/10/2008 17:21

lolol Darrell.

To really fit in, you have to adjust you belt underneath your gut 3 X in every 10 mins. You also have to do that bollock arranging walk when walking to the gents as well.

You must also become one of the pool/darts team. This allows you to bring your own darts.cue to the pub. It also gives you special dispensation to wear your hair in a side parting, wear the same pop-shirts as the rest of the team, which you will tuck into your jeans, which you shall be wearing with shiny black shoes.

You name must be Dave, Colin, Alan, Les, Kelvin, John, Steve, Brian, Phil or Keith

DumbledoresGirl · 13/10/2008 17:23

No, it was far more cliquey when I joined. I have had occasion to read some threads from when I joined and there were only about 20 people posting on them. Look at how many are posting now!

I think MN used to be much more personal and friendly in those days - but only to the people who were known by other posters.Newbies were still ignored and somehow it was more hurtful as there were fewer people in the first place so less reason to be ignored.

Plus ca change.

DarrellRivers · 13/10/2008 17:24

I must add that I do prefer when people keep their names
It makes it easier and makes it seem more like a local pub that I've poppped into rather than a new pub for each pint I drink (which does get tiring)
I daren't even change my name for Halloween, I won't be able to remember who I am

midnightexpress · 13/10/2008 17:47

hangonaminutehangonaminute.

Cod's gone?

Go away for a few days to RL and see what happens. Tut.

I've been here a couple of years and don't feel part of the inner sanctum, but am not in the least bit bovvered.

cocoleBOO · 13/10/2008 17:57

I agree with Sheik that it's a bore not being able to say anything without the 'bad day/fish died/depressed' malarky.

I like to judge.

darkpunk · 13/10/2008 18:08

syb reading out the threads

fumf · 13/10/2008 18:28

I'm the one on the right. Chuntering about the youth of today...

Rhubarb · 13/10/2008 21:55

Sorry, did reply to ks but then Mumsnet went down. Meant to say HEEEEEELLO! How are you my old mucker? Custy said you were around!

ra29 · 13/10/2008 22:41

I'm glad if things are changing cos then maybe I don't have to feel so embarrassed that my name isn't funny and has a number in it (oh the horror)...
On the other hand so far I waste much more time lurking than posting so I suppose I'm not an example of an exciting shiny new member and I don't much like change either so while yabu,I relate...

Cammelia · 14/10/2008 19:45

I'm only posting on this thread to say hello to ks

And I know why you've called yourself enduringsurrey, having spent a bit of time in surrey recently

Could not live there

How are you and your ds, I think he's the same age as my dd (year 7) iirc

Love Cam xxxxxxxxxxx
