And does this make me a miserable old quichey cliquer?

Cod, Tutter, Hunker, JV, Greeny et al.
All gone.

Even I thought last night that I might take some time off FGS.

Maybe the baby was drinking Red Bull because it's mum was too poor to buy it milk and the red bull was on special offer with promotional packs of Kestrel? You are being judgemental

(And I am not in the Inner Sanctum - I think I am a bit like tyhe kid at school who always had a snotty nose)

What? You are not of the inner sanctum? And I am going to share a room with you!

OMG I am doomed.

Lol StG

Will I have to do some bizarre initiation test to be welcomed? Shall I have to run through Hyde Park wearing nothing but a Viking hat and a smile?

harm0knee · 13/10/2008 16:20

Do we know who'fabio' was? Has that been revealed?

wannaBe · 13/10/2008 16:30

I am not and have never been in the inner sanctum.

But this troll/serious departure stuff happens all the time.

Before I joined there was judge flounce (and I have been a member here for three years).

Since I've been here we've had:

Tamba (now that was at least a year ago?)

the serious fox troll

The one who faked her death.

and more recently there's been EC and the whole cod fiasco.

When you look back you will remember the good things but lose sight of the bad ones, but it's always been like this.

And ever since I've joined I've seen threads about every three months or so saying almost the same as you're saying here.

And I do think it comes across as a bit cliquey.

mamadiva · 13/10/2008 16:38

Hmm... not sure.

When I joined about 6 months ago I used to gte flamed for everything I did. I posted one bad thread and that was it I was hated so I changed my name and since then its been fine

So In my experience you are

darkpunk · 13/10/2008 16:38

mn is like a private members club..some people will never fit in...ive been told i come across as childish and unwordly?

i can see why some people give up.

VinegARGHHHTits · 13/10/2008 16:41

what the feck is the inner sactum? is that the new word for the clique? and Fabio, has he gone too now that cod is gone?

someone faked their death????

this site is weird and wonderful in equal measure

northernrefugee39 · 13/10/2008 16:54

I always thought you were an old member too sheikyerbouti.
And you always make me laugh out loud

I wish there were some more threads like the Mary Poppins one.
Or the medieval mumsnet one- that was one of the best... I can't remember who started it ....but twas v v funny.

TskullsScreaming · 13/10/2008 16:58

Oh come on, mn has always been like this.

I bet you anything recent leavers will be back in some guise or other before long.

It's only a chat site, not life and death.

SheikYerbouti · 13/10/2008 17:06

Inner Sanctum was tongue in cheek, btw

I have lived through many scandals on here

fumf · 13/10/2008 17:09

It's just a whole lot bigger than it used to be (and I've only been here 4 years)
You have to shout loudly to be heard!
But I still appreciate instant answers to all life's Great Questions and the chance to kill 10 minutes here and there without having to make small talk...

DarrellRivers · 13/10/2008 17:09

I like your analogy SYB
I am happily a snug member

fumf · 13/10/2008 17:10

yeah sheik. Great analogy.

northernrefugee39 · 13/10/2008 17:10

Have you been on that chat up thread ? with that breast ogling?

SheikYerbouti · 13/10/2008 17:11

Window or bar seat, Darrell?

I see myself as the misfit that plays the one armed bandit in the corner

DarrellRivers · 13/10/2008 17:13

I think I flit between the two depending on mood
But am happiest with a sandwich and the paper
I like being able to pop into said pub and listen to some talk, get involved if I want to, and then leave again

fumf · 13/10/2008 17:14

oh dear lord, are you the resident nutter who ear-wigs and tries to join in with all your private chats and tries to bum fags off you all night?

SheikYerbouti · 13/10/2008 17:16

fumf, have you been into my local then?

DarrellRivers · 13/10/2008 17:16

Then sometimes bores everyone senseless with my views on Europe when no-one had asked my opinion
