I know they may have been up all night with a newborn, depressed, etc etc.

But really, I do wonder when I see a flashy subaru 4x4, child immaculately dressed and the mother has an expensive coat on, over pj's. How long does it take to put a pair of jeans on ffs?

I shit you not, I once saw one of the offenders in pj's and heels.

Or is this some high fashion thing I just don't get?

You ladies don't have "slogans" on your jimmers

TheProvincialLady · 11/09/2008 14:14

I once went to buy a bag of chips at 2pm wearing my pjs, slippers and a coat. I had only got up to watch Neighbours and then felt peckish (I was a student and this was years ago).

Dead glamourous, me.

Anna8888 · 11/09/2008 14:14

They go running after they have dropped DCs at school at 9am (school is on a park where there are lots of people exercising in the early am, including particularly yummy sapeurs-pompiers for whom I some mummies take a detour through the park on the way home).

So time to go home afterwards and shower etc.

Feature · 11/09/2008 14:15

I have "princess sleeping etc etc etc with ickly pink starts and pink matching slippers....."

I also have knickers with "moody cow" on them (tesco)

DrNortherner · 11/09/2008 14:15

I have been known to go to my corner shop in my slippers with my purse tucked under my arm.

But always with full slap on!

McDreamy · 11/09/2008 14:16

Oh no please come to school in pjs, please please feel free - makes me look so much more organised!!!!!!

nailpolish · 11/09/2008 14:16

Botbot · 11/09/2008 14:21

This is reminding me of my morning routine when I was a student:

Wake at 9am. Shamble to corner shop in pyjamas to buy a can of Irn-Bru. Come home, go back to bed. Drink Irn-Bru and have a fag. Go back to sleep until Neighbours comes on.

Happy days.

Overmydeadbody · 11/09/2008 14:22

feature oh dear oh dear

I didn't think grown women wore sloganned pjs or underwear no, but I can't possibly critisise you for doing so after what I've already said on this thread!

Each to their own and all that

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 11/09/2008 14:23

Dads in pjs? Hell no, men should never wear pjs.

And for those that asked, I don't give two shits, it was just an observation, and made me wonder.

roffle

on my way dreamy

Megglevache · 11/09/2008 14:23

NP- wait for a couple of months, you'll be amazed that you thought once that you'd be missing out.

Good news.

Anyway- Disney pyjamas, that mings! So if they're fresh ones it's ok but if they are covered in poo-crumbs? they are not?

Overmydeadbody · 11/09/2008 14:24

Trinity, my running gear isn't really running gear, just any old shorts or joggers with a clean t shirt and dirty muddy running shoes.

No sweaty betty for me

Anyway, that was in the past. I have now retired from running
