To think mums shouldn't do drop at nursery in their pyjamas?

I know they may have been up all night with a newborn, depressed, etc etc.

But really, I do wonder when I see a flashy subaru 4x4, child immaculately dressed and the mother has an expensive coat on, over pj's. How long does it take to put a pair of jeans on ffs?

I shit you not, I once saw one of the offenders in pj's and heels.

Or is this some high fashion thing I just don't get?

on my very rare days off, i pray that i dont crash the car because im often in my PJs with a coat thrown over the top. most days im up early, in late due to work, i do a volunteer job on my days off so a lie in is a rare luxury for me so id have to say stuff what anyone else thinks and judge away! my PJ s are usually funky and from primark, far too good for bed anyway!

Well I think it is fantastic.

What the hell does it matter?
I have driven (though not to school) in various states of undress.
I once drove to collect my niece in a beaded mini dress which was only half fastened at the back, in full make up, jewellery and slippers.
I have driven in slippers a few times and prayed that my trusty car would not break down.
Quite often I used to do the school run wearing my sports gear as I would then rush to the gym. I hope other mothers didn't bitch about me.

katiestar · 13/09/2009 18:24

Have never seen anyone drop their child at school or nursery in PJs.But millions of mums wearing sports wear as so many peoples go for a run/to the gym straight after drop off
I can't honestly see why mum's attire at the school gate would be a problem, or have anything to do with anyone else .

Bellsa · 13/09/2009 18:28

I haven't done it, as I am always on the way into work. But if I could I would! In fact next time I have a day off I'm going to!

victoriascrumptious · 13/09/2009 19:39

I worry about people who worry about things like this.

Amanda1977 · 13/09/2009 22:31

I would worry what people thought of me if I appeared in my pjs! Surely if you are dropping your child off at nursery you are on your way to work....?!?!?
