I know they may have been up all night with a newborn, depressed, etc etc.

But really, I do wonder when I see a flashy subaru 4x4, child immaculately dressed and the mother has an expensive coat on, over pj's. How long does it take to put a pair of jeans on ffs?

I shit you not, I once saw one of the offenders in pj's and heels.

Or is this some high fashion thing I just don't get?

I actually laughed when I saw this thread title and the amount of posts it had! Some people are clearly very very bored.

Devilwearsprimark, you know I love you but I have to disagree with you here. I have seen women shuffling to the shops in their slippers and even in their pj's with their coats on over the top and I actually envy them! Yes I bloody envy them for not giving a toss about what anyone else thinks.

If only I had the gall to shuffle about in my pjs and slippers, how comfy it would be! Ok, obviously you couldn't go to work in them, but just to drop the kids off, or go to the shops.

And all these comments about class - well how inevitable was that from Mumsnet? Nearly every judgemental thread has to turn into some kind of class-bashing exercise.

ladylush · 16/09/2008 14:10

yes keep it covered up like blooming. Otherwise I will be FED UP

wotulookinat · 16/09/2008 14:23

yes, ok, I admit it, I'm bored
And yes, there are much better things that I could be doing that sitting here but I am enjoying myself!

BouncingTurtle · 16/09/2008 15:19

I've just come out of a very boring meeting (the one I went into just before my last post)

Yeah, yeah so shoot me for MNing on work time, I figure it's the perk of having my own office lol.

wotulookinat · 16/09/2008 15:23

Nothing wrong with that, turtle. My DH MNs in work time

2beornot2be · 16/09/2008 15:40

BT I am at work and sit on MN all day with my managers lol.

I can't believe people are still bothered by OTHER PEOPLE wearing Pj's

BouncingTurtle · 16/09/2008 15:44

I am in fact sat in my pjs right now.
They are pink and have little sheep all over them.
With little heart shaped buttons.

bloody hell, this is an old one .

Don't know why anyone gives a flying fuck what other people wear, tbh.

As long as they're wearing something!

Morloth · 11/09/2009 17:53

Well I sleep naked, so I haven't just dropped DS in what I was in bed in. Don't want to scare the children.

I have however, pulled on a scruffy pair of tracky daks, my uggs (strictly inside wear in Australia) and thrown on an overcoat to do the nursery run - hair pulled back into unbrushed pony.

Looked extremely scruffy I am sure, don't care. I don't do it cause I am middle class (which by the strange mechanisms of class here I appear to be) but because I am a feral at heart and simply cannot be arsed.
