HSM- at 12weeks, I was going to bed at 7:30 each night and getting up at 7:30 each morning. I was utterly exhausted.
Needs must!

I dont think you are being unreasonable spending a day in bed if thats how you feel and your DH is ok with that.
However I think before you can expect people to give you a honest answer they can only do that if they have all the details of why it could possibly be reasonable or unreasonable.

highschoolmusical · 01/09/2008 17:17

Tidgy,

Is being pregnant not a good enough reason? TBH am past caring what anyone else thinks - am pregnant will lie down!

VS and Lou - yunno....it's ok for people to have a rest even when there's nothing wrong with them.

Do you lot sleep hanging upside down like bats so that you whip the sticks out of your arses at a moments notice? 'Cos down time is weak, evil and must not be tolerated......

MrsDanversApron · 01/09/2008 17:44

can whip the sticks out of your arses ^^

highschoolmusical · 01/09/2008 17:57

Mrs D - LOL

Did anyone say there was something wrong with having a rest?
No, merely that going on the OP, yes, it is unreasonable to stay in bed for a lot of the day leaving your husband to look after the Dcs and do DIY.

Niceychops · 01/09/2008 18:00

heh heh heh

Why oh why are you getting your undies in such a knot? You're not another pregnant lady who is feeling hard done by?

mehgalegs · 01/09/2008 18:08

What is the difference between her DH doing DIY looking after kids and HSM alone doing housework etc looking after the kids?

HSM YANBU.

The comment about Dh worked all week and you haven't was shockingly shite.

forevercleaning · 01/09/2008 18:09

highschoolmusical · 01/09/2008 18:10

highschoolmusical · 01/09/2008 18:14

Not at all, when I was pg DP would happily have had the children, now I have a baby that wakes in the night he will quite often tell me to stay in bed or whatever and take over, doesn't mean I'd abuse it though.

If both of you are home it's not the same as when one of you are at work, the housework/childcare/chores should be split 50/50 so it's not the same as looking after DCs and doing housework whilst your partner works.

I just think you're taking the piss tbh.

I am so tired.

Doesn't seem to me like someone who really is tired but someone who is joking around, hence the

Only when you got told you were being unreasonable did you start adding extra reasons as to why you were in bed, first poor pregnancies previously, then losing 4 babies, then saying it's Doctors orders.

Smacks of bullshit, IMO.

Niceychops · 01/09/2008 18:19

VS are you saying she made it up?

highschoolmusical · 01/09/2008 18:20

VS

So does your 'story' - you are obviously Obviously hormonal - i was right.

OP posts:
MrsDanversApron · 01/09/2008 18:21

VS - yes, it is unreasonable to stay in bed for a lot of the day leaving your husband to look after the Dcs and do DIY.

Don't be so ruddy silly. If I'm tired I very often take myself off for a little nap - and I'm not pregnant AND I'm a SAHM - ooooh slap my wrist!!

highschoolmusical · 01/09/2008 18:24

VS

Who are you to tell anyone who should do what in their homes? You have no idea what i do or don't do. Unwind your knick nocs and have some wine.

OP posts:
Niceychops · 01/09/2008 18:25

VS I think a glass might do you good
