AIBU to think that once you have paid your childcare, its not really worth working.? Is it that you just don`t want to look after your own kid. prefering to stick them in daycare as soon as the shine wears off, it really bugs me!

Some go from 7-6 and never see there parents, I know I will get slated but in the nursery I work some kids hardly know who their parents are.

Discustard, I don't believe you're for real. We're all taking the piss pretty much as no-one believes you are.

discusturd · 17/08/2008 18:11

Why would I not be real? would only a troll have the nerve to ask, about how you could justify leaving a small baby all day in childcare jeeez.

TTFN

a thought to ponder, people

IAteRosemaryConleyForBreakfast · 17/08/2008 18:11

discusturd, people get "arsey" when halfwit trolls come along and make wild generalisations and totally unfounded assumptions about working parents who are, by and large, trying bloody hard to do the best by their kids.

You've made it abundantly clear that you have no grasp of the realities of life with small children and a low income, and what's more you've judged a huge chunk of the population based on your totally unfounded idea that people who use nurseries dislike their children.

Ignorant, narrow-minded and judgemental people tend to get an arsey response here.

theSuburbanDryad · 17/08/2008 18:11

She doesn't have children, Stella.

When she does, they're going to be perfect and never make her scream in frustration, "What do you want? Get away from that oven! Why won't you sleep?"

Obviously.

"when I have kids I wouldn`t leave them in day care cos I will want to be with mine"

Oh, I refer you back to my earlier statement;

Fuck Off. Troll.

Just in case you are a stranger and don't know me (and I am not sure a regular would Troll such a nasty, unfunny thread subject as this) I have two DD's, they are both (still) breastfed, aged 5 and 2, and the 2 year old co-sleeps with her daddy and me, like her sister did until she wanted to move into her own room. They have been carried in slings for most of thier first couple of years, are nursed to sleep every night, never left to cry and nurtured and not "trained".

I wouldn't put my children in nursery from 7am-6pm 5 days a week, but I did work full time when I first returned to work after DD1, and I hated it and reduced my hours as soon as we could afford it, but that doesn't mean I can't be bothered to or don't want to spend time with my children. However, that also doesn't mean I want to spend all day every day reading In The Night Garden books and finger painting, they are activities which entertain small children, not intelligent, educated, active adult women, so shockingly enough I enjoy my job and was pleased to be going back to after both maternity leaves were over.

So, just in case you didn't get it before. This isn't a funny Trolling subject. So apologise and fuck off.

Monkies

discusturd · 17/08/2008 18:16

what questions do I need to answer stella and rather than attacking me why don`t you answer my original question? Also I am only referring to babies in full day care not part time but whatever, I am sure if I left childcare to someone else I would feel guilty too.

OP posts:
onepieceoflollipop · 17/08/2008 18:16

Yes yes I am sure you are right.

Now OYF thanks little trolly.

TheOldestCat · 17/08/2008 18:16

But lots of people have 'justified' using childcare, discusturd, in response to your opening post.

Why are you 'getting arsey' (to quote your good self)?

Anyone have the number for boden?

CaptainFabioHiltsTheCoolerCat · 17/08/2008 18:16

No medla riven, but you might need sunglasses if the glare from your shimmering children gets too much.

I imagine if the sun's out and they get too near a magnifying glass, disaster could occur.

Twiglett · 17/08/2008 18:18

aha baby oil .. rightyo .. thanks
