To be annoyed that my daughter was given cake and sweets in a party bag?

Last week dd went to a party and when she came home she had the usual party bag. However, on close inspection i noticed that a piece of cake and some sweets had also been put in it.

I of course removed the offending items, but i am annoyed that the host of the party gave them to her in the first place. I always give strict instructions that she is not allowed any kind of junk food when going to parties.

Ibu?

Im on the scout for approx 20 flick-knives to put in Ds1's party bags. Just as a treat, if you see any do give me a shout.

Doh! I see what you mean. Maybe I should change my name to MrsMind. Or not since am obviously a bit on the uptake today.

MrsBates · 13/08/2008 14:38

See what I mean...SLOW on the uptake. Jeez.

Bumdiddley · 13/08/2008 14:41

Oh see I thought LL meant was her son Norman

MrsBates · 13/08/2008 14:45

TenaciousG - you don't have one of those Baby Einstein petrol bomb kits do you? And of course Charlie and Lola are actually a coke dealer and a transvestite.

Bumdiddley · 13/08/2008 14:49

God, I sound illiterate...

MrsBates · 13/08/2008 14:50

Bumdiddley - that was kind of what I was thinking in the first place. Think I first signed on here when I felt like an old corpse strapped to a chair surrounded by nutters. And hadn't cleaned the shower.

CuckooClockWorkOrange · 13/08/2008 14:50

I haven't read the thread, but I must be a right knacker and my daughter's friends' mums must be too, because I don't think she's EVER been to a party where there were NOT some sweets in the party bag.

I think you are living in a parallel universe.

Bumdiddley · 13/08/2008 15:08

I, on the other hand am a nutter who just wants to viciously stab people in the shower.

Bumdiddley · 13/08/2008 15:09

and has a problem with commas.

CountessDracula · 13/08/2008 15:10

what a shite troll

MUST TRY HARDER

Wouldn't even get an A in A level trolling (which as we all know is rather easy)

wasabipeanut · 13/08/2008 15:19

Tiredemma, if you really want to set the cat among the pigeons you should pop a Fruit Shoot in as well.

snooks · 13/08/2008 15:29

well, tbh i usually find that ds doesn't really eat the cake/sweets that are in his party bags because he's totally full of cake/biscuits/crisps/crap from the actual party meal , so i reckon that the party bag is the least of your worries, just ban your dd from eating at the party at all or from even going in the first place...

this must be a (not very good) wind-up

taliac · 13/08/2008 15:36

Thats so true snooks. I often find that I have to eat the cake / choc / sweets instead because DD just doesn't want it..

ipanemagirl · 13/08/2008 15:38

this can't be serious.

Party Bag = sweets made from nuclear wast. Imho - If you don't like it, then don't let the child go, them's the rules as far as I can see.

Find the child friends who only eat organic carrots and Pom Bears and natural liquorice etc. But then they can end up rebelling and moving into McDonald's for the rest of their lives!

tamarto · 13/08/2008 15:41

cheese and onion pom bears are yum. Are they classed as healthy then?

ipanemagirl · 13/08/2008 15:42

Oh I love the red and the green! I think they're relatively healthy..... ?
Well the uber veggie organo fascists I know let their kids eat 'em!!!

CountessDracula · 13/08/2008 15:43

we all know where pom bears like to hang out

ipanemagirl · 13/08/2008 15:44

I don't get it! where?

Thanks a lot. I'll just return to abnormality, along with Edam and Clary and WallofSilence and, well, loads of others shall I, eh?
