and those boots are not sexytrendy.

[bangs gavel] case closed!

lilolilmanchester · 06/07/2008 20:00

Gordon, now I can see the sort of thing you prefer, will stop worrying about converse trainers! Each to their own.

squeaver · 06/07/2008 20:00

Jeans with holes - no.

Converse - fine.

I'm 43 and wear Converse low top sneakers.

madamez · 06/07/2008 20:04

I am 43 and wear Newrocks and Doc Martens when I feel like it.People should wear what they want.

Heathcliffscathy · 06/07/2008 20:05

jeans that have been worn and worn and now have holes, for not going out in but hanging out in are fine.

jeans with ready made holes, fading or creases. or coloured jeans of any description. or boot cut jeans. NO WAY.

YABU.

What WillSelf said. Bang on.

Heathcliffscathy · 06/07/2008 20:08

yes. skinny jeans if you are tall and slim bloke.

NoelEdmonds · 06/07/2008 20:10

He should be wearing brogues fgs

expatinscotland · 06/07/2008 20:11

DH is tall and skinny and looks excellent in his straight legged 501s at the age of 30.

tall, skinny blokes are like tall, skinny women - they can get away with a lot for a lot longer.

GordontheGopher · 06/07/2008 20:13

Well as he is tall and skinny I suppose I'd better concede. Grr.

YABU for all the reasons everyone has given (but I do have to say I like those boots you linked to too)

WilfSell · 06/07/2008 20:18

Noooooooooooooooooo. those boots are for bankers on their weekend off playing paintball. Or Ozzie tourists in Drizabone coats. NOT Cool.

expatinscotland · 06/07/2008 20:19

Those boots are LAME and jessie boy.

allytjd · 06/07/2008 21:46

I agree with expat, as long as as you DH is in good shape converse are OK, on the other hand i was in Glasgow today, I think Glaswegians are a bit too keen on being fashionable and i saw an awful lot of "male mutton dressed as lamb", boak! particular pet hates are men over 30 wearing trainers without socks with 3/4 trousers and dads and small boys wearing matching outfits. Vanity in men is a big turn off IMO.

motherinferior · 06/07/2008 21:47

I'm 45 and wear them.

TheSmallClanger · 06/07/2008 21:49

YABU. They are nice shoes and look great on most people. My DH has some.

maidamess · 06/07/2008 21:50

My dh is 46, wears them and has grown his hair like this: he's so proud!

mrsfederer · 06/07/2008 22:18

YABU

mumeeee · 06/07/2008 22:32

YABU. He should be allowed to wear what he likes.

Cammelia · 06/07/2008 22:36

I'm 52 and have been wearing my black converse all day

Tinker · 06/07/2008 22:38

Converse are timeless. Don't understand OP
