I finally found some in Sainsburys today - i think Asda might sell them but cant get them online

The 50/50 Kingsmill is available in my local aldi, but thats not my fave

Whats going on at the King's Mill??

Maybe a merger with hovis which imo tastes shite. Still, its been this way for a while.

Who are you going to complain to? Just buy Warburtons, it’s nicer bread anyway

LucyLocketLovesPollyPocket · 31/10/2026 20:54

It's shit bread, take the opportunity to branch out.

I bought some 2 days ago from Sainsbury’s. Seen it in Aldi too. Are you going at the end of the day as I've noticed they sell out quickly compared to the bread suggested above.

The best is M&S thick white super soft loaf

I stopped buying Kingsmill years ago when I found, when I opened the packet, it smelled like tuna (to me)!

QuirkyHorse · 31/10/2026 21:26

I was at Sainsbury's this evening and there was a wall of Kingsmill bread.
I had to root around at the back to find one that wasn't yellow stickered.

It was milk our Sainsbury's had a shortage of. Only think left was full fat organic milk.
Why was that? 🤔

All the packet breads are made in one big factory in Breadbury and put into different packets. Probably 🤔

TeaandHobnobs · 31/10/2026 21:39

M&S 70/30 is my current fave - so soft and tastes delicious

Roberts bread is nicest. Its always fresh and soft and the crust isn't leathery.

Have you had Fridge Raiders, I think they smell like tuna but nobody agrees with me

I know what you mean, I can't find Lindt Dark Chocolate Crispy Waffles and my MP doesn't seem to want to help.
I blame Brexit.

😲😲 omg its terrible! That silly orange paper bag that always falls apart in my kitchen on day 1

End up sticking the bread into food bags

Plus, the bread is hard anyway 😪 😔
