Nicola Peltz is entitled to call herself Nicola Beckham

I’ve just seen that Victoria Beckham was furious when Nicola Peltz Beckham was introduced at the Venice Film Festival as Nicola Beckham, but surely that’s unreasonable? She’s entitled to use her married name, isn’t she?

You saw where that she was furious?

From a reliable source or a gossip mag?

What a weird thing for her to be furious about.

She’s married. She can use her married name or maiden name or a combination of both interchangeably as she likes.

The Beckhams are always made out to be the injured party but then you read batshit things like that.

I think you are BU in buying into this manufactured drama, that every one involved is getting publicity and ultimately money from.

Exactly - everyone involved. The Beckhams included. They love it. If they didn’t, they could go and live in New Zealand, stay at home all day and people would soon forget about them.

Victoria Adams took on the name Mrs Beckham. Why would she be annoyed . Plus she has two more sons that might marry .

Victoria Beckham trademarked her kids names and they need her permission to use them for commercial ventures. So I can well believe she’s upset at someone else stepping up to be a beckham, and trying to build that identity

This whole "oh don't speak to me, use my lawyers ","I'm furious she used Beckham " is brilliant marketing to keep the Beckham name in the public and sell product.

Remember poor Jade Goody. Uneducated, ill informed, slightly racist Jade. Who was made for the tabloids and gossip mags...the marketing machine got hold and she's got perfume, clothes etc. Sadly for them, she died and I can't remember the last product of hers I've seen on the shelves

Some people just get really odd about celebrity gossip. Like they are above it.

It's just pointless gossiping about two women who no-one here knows.

Many years ago I worked for the newspapers. The Beckhams were known for tipping off the press that they were off somewhere so they could be papped.

Pretty much everything about that family is manufactured. It's just a game, all of it!

I’m almost 50 now and do something very different, but in a former life, I was a journalist.

Everything is a tip off. I don’t know how people believe that paps are randomly hanging around. They are told where a celebrity will be, by that celebs team, and that’s how they get in the papers to stay relevant.

They know how media works; and how to keep themselves relevant so they're worth more. David made nearly £40m from his World Cup work, and most of that was from them as a "public family", not his reputation as a player.
