Adults at petting zoos/farms/kids days out

Has anyone else noticed a massive uptick in grown adults (many in late teens and 20s) going on days out aimed at kids/young families? I’m finding it increasingly irritating - small children having to queue behind grown adults to stroke rabbits or see tanks of fish.

(Exception where there is clearly a disability at play)

Are you OK? Do you need a brandy and a lie down? 🤔

A lot of people are not outraged, just gobsmacked that anyone has such a weird and batshit opinion, and so much anger towards adults doing things that children enjoy too.

Why does it fill you with so much rage? Have a Snickers Bar, you're not you when you're hungry!

If you can’t see why depriving a little kid the chance of meeting a lamb is an arsehole move, then you basically have zero sense of what being an adult means.

I think everyone on here is pretending they ‘don’t know what the problem is’ - or at least, I hope they’re pretending.

Nobody is taking joy from little kids, they are paying visitors and they just have to wait their turn, whether its an adult or a kid before them. You are being irrationally mean here.

They’re likely dim and fairly selfish adults who prioritise themselves over some small kids who have probably been excited to feed a lamb all day. Only to see a Disney loving 50 year old woman queue an hour in advance to beat them to it. Sorry but that’s tragic!

We’re on holiday and went to an animal based attraction today. DS was free, we (and every other adult) paid €30 each, why should he get priority over any part of it?? There were lots of families there but also some groups of adults and plenty of couples without kids.

Ps.. you should go on the teacups OP. Life is for living. Be carefree, be silly, you’ll be long dead.

I lov animals so would happily pay to hold a rabbit or feed a lamb etc. Just as I enjoy the safari park to look at bigger animals. It's not about being nostalgic for my childhood or acting like a child, it's about a love of animals.

I’ve taken entire groups of children to petting zoos and other attractions, and no - their joy is not ruined by an adult being there and getting involved in the activities they too have paid for 😂 they didn’t even comment!

No one was deprived of a theme park ride or meeting a rabbit or whatever.

The only people that are bothered are miserable spiteful adults who lack the brains to see that these groups of adults (often all paying full price tickets) are actually providing much needed revenue for these venues.

Without them they would either hike up the prices of all the tickets including child tickets or close down.

Word.
