To think Jools has the perfect life

Jools Oliver

Lots of kids, with partner since very young, lots of money, beautiful home.
I realise no one's life is perfect, but it seems ideal. Found love early, no rubbish men or heartbreak or loneliness of being alone and struggling. loads of kids and a loving, large family there as you get older, no money worries or having to work unless you want to, amazing countryside home

Am envious!

I am baffled by the number of posters who want massive families delivered by the fire. 😀 No offence.
I thought women wanted to escape all that. This is like " Yesteryear".

@thecatneuterer you don"t deserve the condescension you have been subjected to. I am pretty sure you have a life you are happy with, and only the most blinkered would argue that child free people have pointless or empty lives.

Yes I can know, because I know myself. I also strongly dislike children and babies. There's no point engaging with you anymore as you are being ridiculous. It's my instinct to feel sorry for people with children, but rationally I know I'm being silly because I understand that different things make different people happy. You don't seem to have found your rationality.

Gosh how sad

They are both 51 not exactly young OP. 400 kids - I reckon she caves in on a Saturday when she goes shopping has a McDs breakfast away from the constant noise.

I didn't say they were young-met when young

Defo a solo Mcd's in the car though 😂

As others have already said, she’s stuck with the lump that is Jamie Oliver. She’s also had a few miscarriages over the years. Nobody’s life is perfect, we all live on Ronan’s rollercoaster.

You can't possibly know, I thought the same for a long time too, but it didn't and it made me see how empty and fairly pointless life was before

That's terrible that you wasted so much of your life. Poor you.

Happily, many of us do not need to make babies to find a purpose in life.

likelysuspect · 15/10/2026 19:29

Yes I like the pair of them. I couldnt be doing with tons of kids though, not sure what is attractive or to envy about that.

A nice life, and good for them, Im a big fan.

You can get frozen pre-chopped onion in Waitrose if that helps.

i actually do this they have frozen chopped garlic and onions in most supermarkets now it’s a game changer isn’t it xx

Ah now Gordon Ramsey? totally get that.

I bet he'd be incredible in bed - really sweary and dirty

He's repulsive, horrible pock marked face, funny speech, beady eyes.

blubberball · 15/10/2026 19:36

Nah, I wouldn't swap with her. And my life is pretty shitty

That's a really horrible way to describe anyone. Besides, personality matters too.

His personality is ugly as well

I think theres lots of posts on here about Oliver saying much the same.

He’s flawed. So am I.

I’ve got a bit of a thing where I don’t find beautiful people sexy. They’re nice to look at, like a statue or a sculpture. But they don’t light my fire in the same way that sexy people do. People really don’t have to be beautiful to be sexy.

seahorsessky · 15/10/2026 20:19

Agree, but it seemed easier in the past. Men and women were allowed to chat and flirt with each other, without people calling everything creepy, love bombing or red flags, and there were no dating apps/reddit type sites where everyone criticised and tried to break people up. I would guess she is about my age? But us old millennials were the last lot to have things easy.

Gordon’s more, shit fuck cunt (sorry 🫣) than bish bash bosh.

I’d love to see a tea time show like that!

This thread has got me imagining sex with a whole line up of celebrity chefs.

I'm not enjoying it very much I can tell you.

I wouldn’t mind a go at Tom Kerridge tbh

You are entitled to your opinion!

I disagree 😉

Elsvieta · 16/10/2026 08:28

Well, if you WANT five kids, I guess. But few people do....?

Oldbaglady46 · 16/10/2026 08:44

Guess it must be perfect for some people but 5 kids, no proper career of my own, and married to an egotistical knobhead. No thanks!

You seem to find it difficult to grasp that some people genuinely don't want the worry and chaos that having children brings.

I was ambivalent about having children, and when I was told that it was extremely unlikely that I would get pregnant and even more unlikely to be able to carry a baby to full term I just thought "Oh well" and used my freedom to pursue avenues that would be more difficult with children in tow.

I did eventually have a child and it changed my life - not for the better or for worse, just different. I also didn't feel that my life before DD was empty and pointless because I filled it with other things.

Women who are child free by choice are not you. I can't think of anything worse than having five children (shudder)

pinkishtongue · 15/10/2026 16:21

That was Ainsley Harriot 😂

Jamie Oliver uses similar language. I hate reading his recipes for that reason.

A life without children doesn't have to be pointless! We just have to make the most of the time we're here in whatever ways make us happy and don't spoil others' lives.

MyDogHumpsThings · 16/10/2026 09:12

Loads of kids and no career? I’d rather chew my own tits off.

Ok Jools, off you fuck

JulietteRoche · 16/10/2026 09:19

No, because I would hate having all those kids. I am childfree and even if I wasn't, there is no way I would have more than one child. Plus Jamie is a knob! So no, she is one of the least enviable celebrities IMO.
