🤢 🤢 Russell Brand. I never liked him anyway, Now he's on trail. Denies all charges of course.

OP posts:

@throwawayimplantchat A (much, much) smaller number now who maybe still find him attractive.

My point was that he can't be considered objectively repulsive or unattractive when there are women who find him attractive.

What a vile, personal attack.

I'm defending a fundamental legal principle.

Its a discussion thread of the general population not a group of lawyers

augustuss · Yesterday 21:47

Well, today I spotted his name among my bbc sounds podcast suggestions! Is he ‘back’??? Is the bbc paying him??

mr pop off?

was that jester?

Mr Claypole

Greedybilly · Yesterday 21:49

Vile little man.
I've never forgiven him and Jonathan Ross for their vile 'prank call' to Andrew Sachs about his granddaughter. Both repugnant idiots.
Not sure how Brand got away with hiding in plain sight for so long.
If he's found guilty I hope they throw the book at him.

Some men, when you find out they are a vile sex pest rapist, you are surprised. Russell Brand is not one of those men.

Has he claimed he “suffers” from sex addiction yet? If he hasn’t, he soon will.

Marycontrarygarden · Yesterday 21:50

Whose trail is he on? Has he become a detective?!

I've had my post deleted yet it contained proven facts- men did mass rape in Rotherham, men in dresses do enter female facilities (I'll grab a pic of Eddie Izzard in the ladies if you like)
And yet an thread vilifying a man who has yet to be convicted- accusing him of all sorts- is allowed to fly
Shame on you Mumsnet- it's so dystopian

Where were you on the Lindsay Clancy threads? Funny how you only care when it’s about a man!

I think your post was deleted because it was a personal attack on an individual poster as well as a general attack on everyone on this thread.

Well, if it was the one I replied to and which now says it has been deleted it did. And since your reply to me asking about it makes it clear which post it was, I am reasonably certain about that.

Oh, and I am not sure you know what "dystopian" actually means. I see no dehumanized, fearful lives on Mumsnet.

TheGander · Yesterday 21:53

It’s easy to forget how fêted he was, how he pulled in big crowds and shifted 10 s of 1000s of books with his gibberish. A combination of good looks, faux rebelliousness and the human need to “ follow” certain charismatic persons, no matter how hollow their beliefs and pronouncements I guess. He wasn’t the first, he won’t be the last.

Why are you here? We don’t need men policing our discussion - our intuition and observation and personal experience

Ah, but he is a man of god remember, isn’t it odd that men like that find god once they charged with crimes.

Well he will be OK in jail then won't he? They either find God or the gym

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · Yesterday 21:54

At least one person I know likened Brand to Rasputin....

Hopefully these people then abusing women in plain sight will lessen

Dangerous and slippery individual. Wouldn’t trust him as far as I could through him. Hope he gets what he deserves.

Let’s hope so. Such predators will
always happen, but hopefully there’s a wider willingness for victims to talk and for society to listen now.

Yes he openly used it as a cover for all sex ploits

Same way as Saville…the bbc allow it

RB has been "sober" for over 20 years.

I hate myself for having found him amusing back in the day. Now I hope he spends a good few years in prison.

Or suddenly start walking with a frame and feigning frailty.

moto748e · Yesterday 22:03

Read a long piece about him on Unherd the other day, has it been linked to, I haven't RTFT? It basically said, he may not be taken seriously in the UK, but in the US, especially in places like Florida, God and Mammon sit very happily together, and they recognise a kindred spirit.

In photos of him, he always looks like he smells to me - a mix of nasty body odour & weed & stale alcohol. And his hair looks like it smells that awful waxy unwashed smell.

Yep! 100% this… looks like he really pongs🤮

I could never get past this feeling, even when he was flavour of the month. I don’t believe the sudden interest in the bible either. Vile grubby specimen.
