Well, this is absolutely sickening and terrifying. Those poor women and poor women and girls in the UK who will no doubt end up suffering too. Women's rights and safety seems to be the last thing that matters these days.

I understand but logically then not all asylum seekers are bad people and many have been criminally exploited- which is why I support their right to seek asylum

Pity they don't jump on a plane (cheaper and safer ) with all their relevant paperwork and claim asylum on arrival.

But then we would know who they are, where they come from and more importantly... what they've done in their homeland.

There is literally ZERO need for anyone to get in a boat.

I no longer support the right to asylum.

I think those laws are completely outdated, and now actively harming the country, it's finances and the safety of it's citizens.

Agree 100%

We could actually help far more people through our foreign aid budhet. Dealing with thousands of mostly young males who rock up on our shores is a disaster.

Also fetching a select number here will cause problems as well because if they bring their families over then the numbers involved could be huge and there will be many young males among them.

Nobody is saying all asylum seekers are bad people. To say that all of the 781 mostly young males who rocked up on our shores on Weds Sept 23rd are bad people would be absurd.

But some of them will be. Some of them will be rapists and criminals. Or they might be, we don't know.

Therefore I don't want any of them in our country. Not one. The risk is too great.

Don't forget the 3 women who left France on a boat a few weeks ago who, all, died of heart attacks on the way.

and the boat which left Senegal, and arrived in the canaries with around 50 people missing from it, others from the boat reported that many of them were thrown overboard for witchcraft on the way.

Boats have arrived with women dead, boats have had women raped on them by other refugees. The idea that it’s just traffickers killing and raping women is bullshit.

I’m happy to take female refugees, the men can sort themselves out as far as I’m concerned.

I see it time and time on here being perceived as a racist is worse than not giving a shit about womens safety.

This. Please stop being so naive and tribalistic, people. Women are in danger at every point on their journey, from traffickers, from police and aid workers, from male migrants. From men. That doesn’t mean that male migrants are not vulnerable, but vulnerable doesn’t mean harmless.

Fwio · 07/10/2026 16:13

You know everyday something like this comes up and people just say "oh British men are bad too".

Do people not think adding even more men from some of the nations where women's rights are so crap maybe poses even a slight danger?

They are reporting it, and it’s not for me or anyone else to say they’re lying. 🤷‍♀️

The ignorance on here is astounding sometimes.

Visas are impossible to come by for ordinary people in developing countries who are being persecuted.

I do hope you never have to flee, we are so lucky in the UK. But can you tell me why you ignore the common human feelings of empathy or sympathy in understanding others people's motivations?

Fwio · 07/10/2026 16:26

I also don't understand if you're fleeing war and death....why don't you just stay in France. Why risk death on the channel just to come to Blighty

Watch The Swimmers on Netflix, the true story of two talented swimmers fleeing Syria.

The sexual threat and frequency of rape and sexual abuse is clearly outlined.

Within a story that is absolutely inspirational.

Benefits and because we have so many ‘migrants’ now it’s probably much more like ‘their community’

DebbieSavage · 07/10/2026 16:55

Nearly all British women have too so there's no difference there. At least these men will want to come and make a better life for themselves so will be inclined to work hard and contribute in gratitude for their asylum.

If they're not lying and pretending to be gay.
How many more e-bike delivery riders do we need??

DebbieSavage · 07/10/2026 17:19

And how exactly do you know if somebody is lying about their sexuality? You have no way of knowing. This is just a nazi dogwhistle designed to make gullible people think of people different to them being different to them. Stop falling for the Russian propaganda bots seriously, you're better than this.

When Britain was being bombed in WW2 people didn't flee. Children were evacuated to the countryside but adults stayed and fought or kept the war effort going from their home towns.

Men in Ukraine are fighting, they're not allowed to leave the country.

So I have little respect for military aged males who flee their country of origin for an easy life in the West.

Yes, it's crazy and the justification for it has worn very thin.

Holeymoley28 · 07/10/2026 17:26

It’s not safe for women (and some young boys) because of the traffickers and the very men we are also allowing to claim asylum.

Every step of the way is dangerous because of the men involved from those who will pretend to be a child once here to the men filling boats.

We don’t need to let in more men with zero morals who think women are for their sexual pleasure. We have enough home grown and bred.

But this is the U.K. and we roll over for belly rubs at how accepting we are and open and liberal and safe 😂

And instead of stopping in the multiple safe countries and thanking their lucky stars they are in a safe country they continue on and risk death again to escape France to come here and well... They aren't all that good are they?

Another reason not to keep letting all of these unchecked, undocumented men into this country. And yes, I know rape happens here but it’s not a reason to keep importing more of it.

I agree. I don't call them asylum seekers either. I use the phrase illegal immigrants. France is a safe country generally.
And the men are given leaflets telling them not to sexually assault or rape women here.
My goodness. Our forefathers would be bewildered.

Holeymoley28 · 07/10/2026 17:30

The men the people who should be protecting their wives and children also leaving them behind to what be what raped and murdered? Since it’s so bad they need to flee.

If it’s safe for the wives to stay. It’s safe for the men to stay. If it’s not safe at all it’s not safe at all. The math doesn’t math either way.

Ludijo · 07/10/2026 17:33

IsEveryUserNameBloodyTaken · 07/10/2026 14:23

So they are raped whilst on the boats coming over here.
Now is that going to be the trafficking people who are not on the boats or the other so called asylum seekers.

It doesn't say they are raped in the boats..it says 'on their journey '....which begins many countries before and they are in the hands of many traffickers and corrupt individuals along the way.
People are VERY ill informed about this issue and are using it in a way to create unhelpful generalisations

JHound · 07/10/2026 17:34

What is the Home Secretary basing this on?

ghostyslovesheets · 07/10/2026 14:09

Are you confusing people seeking asylum who are victims of sexual abuse with the traffickers who abuse them?

Seeking asylum from France? That well known war torn country?
And they are illegal immigrants. We don't know who they are. It's slightly worrying.
