AIBU to be shocked by the cost of four pizzas and basics?

[Merryoldgoat]

Guess how much my shopping basket cost:

2 x margarita pizzas & 2 x pepperoni pizzas (supermarket brand - in a box tho, not the cheaper cellophane wrapped ones)
2 x tubes toothpaste (oral B)
2 x tubs Vicks Vapo-rub

I have been to the doctor and stopped at Co-op as I needed a few things missed off the weekly shop.

60

£34

Probably about £40

Pizzas £4.50 each, toothpaste £3.50 each?? Vaporub £7.50 each?? Guessing but everything is so damn expensive now

£150?

£45 oral b is expensive .

Actual lol 😂

About £36
Pizzas £5 each
Toothpaste £4 each
vicks £4 each

Depends on pack sizes though

Hmm, coop can be pricey so I would say, £15 for the pizzas, at least £3 each for the toothpaste, and vicks vapo rub is branded so lets day a tenner for 2 tubs?
I'd say around £30 for the lot?

£36.50

I honestly had to check.

I know Vicks and Toothpaste aren’t things you buy all the time but still.

£35

It is usually but it was on special so half the usual price.

You were spot on!!

I bet your toothpaste was around £6 .50 ?

Around £30

You are almost bang on.

Ah fair.

Sorry late to replies I’ll get my coat and sob

£5 for two tubes but I bought two because it was kn special. I was going for Sensodyne and it was SEVEN THIRTY FIVE FOR ONE TUBE!!

Almost £40? Co-op is quite expensive in my experience.

I know that the coop stone baked pizza are around £4 each, I also know they’re often on an offer, 2 pizzas and a 4 pack of beers for about £7, so free beers!
No idea about the others though.

I let out a gasp in Morrisons .at how expensive Sensodyne is!

i would have paid £16 for 4 “nice” pizzas and £2.50 each for Oral B. No how much Vicks is. Not at Coop though as is eye wateringly expensive and I feel sorry for anyone who only has that as their available choice.

In my local coop jars of shotty instant coffee are nearly a tenner

So you just know anout Beer and Pizza.
Not a bad place to be, tbh😁
