AIBU to think eyebrows don’t need to be ‘done’ beyond some plucking of the monobrow area or some general tidying if you have a lot of hairs?
I recently went to get my nails done for an event and the lady asked if I wanted to sort my eyebrows out too??

surely this is a recent phenomenon of perfect dark eyebrows forced upon women?

My elder sister plucked mine for me when I was 14, into the fashion (thin arched line) at the time (early 1970's).

They never ever grew back. Never plucked a single hair again.

Don't know if that's a blessing or a curse.

That was a horrible style. I remember it well. What surprised me at the time, is that when girls were sitting around doing nothing, they would pull out their tweezers and addtionally pluck them , in the way I the way that people pull out their phones today.

I agree with you OP. I had my nails done once for my wedding, if the beauty therapist had asked me I wanted my brows " sorting out" too, I would have be annoyed. You paid for a service to have your nails done, nothing else.

I shaved half mine off when I was a kid because I was an idiot trying to put stripes in them… They never grew back properly sadly so look really sparse and I fill them in with pencil every day as a result. I don’t pluck them beyond the occasional monobrow hair. My mum is blonde so has hers dyed brown.
