What someone is cruel because they won't cover or make excuses for their 12 year old's carelessness? Isn't that what parents are supposed to do - prepare their children for real, adult life?

How are your children going to manage as adults - will you be writing notes to their bosses if they're late for work when they're 25?

Get a grip - you obviously have no clue about child suffering.

greenladybird · 30/06/2008 15:52

exactly fuzzywuzzy, im not talking about everyone, im taking about SOME parents.

sorry i don't care what the situation there is no excuse for such shitting treatment of your own children.
seems acceptable to run your children down, i find it outrageous

FFS greenladybird, did you actually read the P.E thread ?

RubySlippers · 30/06/2008 15:54

green ladybird - think your response to the PE thread was so over the top and i am not sure why

the thread did not merit you calling the OP a "bitch"

harleyd · 30/06/2008 15:55

nut job

RubySlippers · 30/06/2008 15:55

oh, and starting a thread about a thread is not nice

thebecster · 30/06/2008 15:56

Bizarre reaction to the PE thread. Something about it clearly pushed your buttons, but think it might be more to do with you than with the OP of that thread...

SheikYerbouti · 30/06/2008 15:56

Quick, call Social Services!!

I just told DS1 he couldn't have an ice cream. He cried and I TOLD HIM OFF FOR WHINGING!

I should be locked up!

What a cruel bastard I am!

NorthernLurker · 30/06/2008 15:57

Look if you disagree with the op in the PE thread then get over there and fight your corner. Just sitting here bitching about it is frankly both bizarre and cowardly imo.

SmallShips · 30/06/2008 15:57

just read your post on the pe thread, bitch is a tad strong dont you think?

aly16 · 30/06/2008 15:58

O my god cannot beleive some people! How can any parent ever say they don't shout at their child and hitting ie slap on the hand is up to the individual aprent and is in no way child cruelty! I have yet to meet a perfect parent!

GivePeasAChance · 30/06/2008 15:58

"exactly fuzzywuzzy, im not talking about everyone, im taking about SOME parents."

And YOU should decide who are good parents and who are not? On what basis would you judge ?

Some people might think the same of you ??

SheikYerbouti · 30/06/2008 16:00

Yes, Ruby. Do it.

I am not fit to be a mother.

Can I just add that yesterday, I sent DS1 inside from the garden because he was trying to put the slide on DS2's head. Now that's just out of order of me.

2shoes · 30/06/2008 16:00

wonder how old the op's perfect children are.
horrid idea this thread.

cocolepew · 30/06/2008 16:01

I've just shouted, in a loud voice at both my Dd's. I shall go and apologise and let them carry on trying to brain each other with the Wii remote. My name is Coco and I'm a bitch.
You are the other hand are a numpty.

beaniesteve · 30/06/2008 16:01

sterilisation - 'tis the only way forward.

I can see it in a few years

"Dear CEO of big multi-national,

Jim-bob (37, works in accounts) could not come to work yesterday as he had a baddy on his knee and a hurty tummy

Lots of love
GLB
His Mummy"

SheikYerbouti · 30/06/2008 16:03

OMG, coco, you shalt burn in hell for etrnity for raising your voice to your children. How could you?

cocolepew · 30/06/2008 16:03

Your 'bitch' remark has been deleted by MNHQ.

cocolepew · 30/06/2008 16:04

I also threw a cushion at them

SheikYerbouti · 30/06/2008 16:04

Oh no, You crossed the line, coco.

OverMyDeadBody · 30/06/2008 16:06

greenladybird there is nothing wrong with teaching children that there are consequences for their actions. That's all the OP in the PE thread was doing.

I don't think you will fit in here on MN, personally.
