To think that Burnham’s words are going to haunt his premiership?

Yes, very odd.

Its akin to a flounce.

A reverse flounce. This is so bad I’m going to stick with it and do the same for every similar thread.

Meanwhile there’s threads in S&B and dog board unread : (

All these regular posters who start and join thread after thread ranting about the government...are just so interested in politics that they can't stop themselves posting, have absolutely nothing better to do all day every day.. just love the fight..are being paid by outside agencies..?

Indeed. I’ve stopped engaging with them. Its the same 3/4 people and it just descends into sea-lioning. Then back with yet another thread the next day about how Andy Burnham ate their hamster. Tedious, and have decided to stop feeding the trolls.

What’s ‘sea-lioning’? Is it like catfishing?

Feel the same about you and yours on the Reform threads. Open the thread of the day and there you all are. As you say, tedious.

Erm, darling.

I doubt the PP has a designer handbag collection…Not that Mulberry counts, mind you.

You'd be right! Designer goods have never interested me. Prefer to spend my money on mini-breaks, holidays, food and wine. Now am off for a lovely 💆‍♀️ x

But you haven’t stopped, you’re on the thread.

Op your threads are obviously very attractive if people who really don’t want to read them still do.

In between posting on MN and telling anyone who cares, how much fun you are having.

Continuing the theme, I’m on a partridge shoot tomorrow.

I wouldn't call Manchester a tiny northern town.

Manchester didn't vote for him - people in Makerfield (Wigan, Greater Manchester) did. There is no single MP or parliamentary constituency for Manchester and even if there was you would be able to vote in Manchester and Makerfield in the same election. HTH.

To the wider point, Manchester is not Makerfield and therefore isn't a tiny northern town. It's a city. TB, it was wrong of me to call Makerfield a town. It isn't. It's a relatively small parliamentary constituency covering several communities in Wigan. HTH.

Binnyforthewin · 10/09/2026 13:58

Hopefully Binny will have another stab at it! The Count has got to win at some point in this seemly endless parade of clowns.

We agree on one thing then.

Binny can have Starmer's seat. Labourites were so desperate for him to get Clacton.

Thanks I've learnt something

“To ‘sealion’ somebody is to enter a conversation and demand they provide a definition, justification, or proof for every single thing they say.”
But, he added, it’s not done in good faith.

Thinking about it ..... I do know what you mean, yes.

It would be a marked improvement, wouldn’t it?

Kemi can return the favour that the Labour candidate can spend their campaign arguing with a bin.

Bin and Polanski can scrap it out between them.

I think the UK is so fucked at the moment it doesn't really matter who is in charge.

We are a nation so divided there is no way to please a good portion of people, let alone a majority.
