Interestingly Norway is also another prime NATO target due to its defence manufacturing base and yould assume that was a quiet country that just got on with things.

With the economy as it is and people's expectations as they are, any party is going to struggle to remain popular at the moment. It is not only the UK government that has this issue. People criticisng the government is pretty standard stuff. It would be much more suspicious if no one on mumsnet had anything bad to say about Andy.

Meanwhile the UK is a mess, we focus on a few boat loads of asylum seekers or fret that someone is recieving more PIP than they might be entitled to. It's now accepted that we have to wait 8 hours in A and E or 3 hours for an emergency ambulance.
Our waterways are polluted with sewage and despite having adequate annual rainfall we can't cope with drought. We do not produce enough food to feed our own population, so we have to rely on imports and despite being rich in natural resources we still have to import energy.
Defence of our nation should start with sorting out the above.
