To ask if my boyfriend doing this last night is ‘normal’?

Helenaslide · Today 15:45

I was having a bath last night and he came in and used the loo (no.2). I shouted and asked what he was playing at and he said he has always done this with partners and vice versa as have plenty of people he knows. He stayed for a couple of minutes until he had finished and left laughing.

For context - together 4 months, he was staying at mine last night.

He has said he won’t do it again but I feel a bit humiliated by it tbh.

This is why you lock the bathroom door.

If there's only 2 of you in the house and you have to lock the bathroom then you might as well end the relationship or just be friends with benefits.

Mamabear487 · Today 16:12

Been with my now husband 11 years and I would absolutely loose it if he did that. How disgusting

babyproblems · Today 16:12

I’ve been married to DH for 18 years and he would NEVER do this.
It would be a line crossed for me!!!

thegrumblingkitten · Today 16:12

Gross

I'd be done

Nearly50omg · Today 16:12

MAJOR red flags!! Get rid!!! And go do the course women’s aid put on teaching you the red flags to watch out for with men and abusive behaviour

HelpMeGetThrough · Today 16:13

That's gross, he released poo particles into the atmosphere during your relaxing bath. And then to have to drink wine in the poo waft!

WTF are “Poo Particles”?

dad11122 · Today 16:13

A former girlfriend used to do this (urinating only) when I was in the bath, I was surprised at first but she felt that it was totally normal and certainly wasn't doing it out of disrespect towards me. I suppose it's just something that you need to make a decision on within your relationship 🤷‍♂️.

BitOutOfPractice · Today 16:14

mmm! I bet you could hardly wait to shag his brains out after that!

Vile!

PragmaticIsh · Today 16:14

Wine with a side plate of shit.

What a charming prospect.

PrettyLittleRose · Today 16:15

Minging! 😖

I reckon he did it on purpose. Bet he didn't bring you that glass of wine either eh @Helenaslide ?

HelpMeGetThrough · Today 16:15

Anyone else getting the Zoflora ad up on this thread? 🤣🤣

MyMilchick · Today 16:15

That disgusting, he's an absolute pig

anewyearthisyear · Today 16:15

4 months in - I'd be gone.

NewAgain26 · Today 16:16

Helenaslide · Today 15:56

I usually do but as I was about to get in he suggested bringing me a glass of wine up so I left it unlocked for that reason.

I think this shows he knew exactly what he was doing and he was testing your boundaries.
The laughing as he left the room would also be a red flag for me.

all this after 4 months?? This would result in a dumping from me.

Katigee410 · Today 16:16

Ill mannered and rude. Wouldn't get away with that with me, not funny just crosses a line

Agatha1989 · Today 16:16

That’s disgusting and would be a deal breaker for me.

TheSandgroper · Today 16:16

Wow, that is domination of you on a world class level. And you know he enjoyed it because he left laughing at you. He knew what he was doing, he planned your reaction and got a high from it.

Nope. No way. I wouldn’t be having that.

@Helenaslide I hope he’s gone for good now.

Flamingojune · Today 16:17

Its not the act itself which is bad enough, its the laughing after

FeralWoman · Today 16:17

Absolutely not. Break up with him. He didn’t ask for your consent to shit in front of you and stink up the bathroom.

What other boundaries has he crossed? I’m sure there’s others.

I’ve been with DH for 28 years. I’ve only done a poo in front of him once when I was in labour with our DD. If one of us desperately needs the toilet for a poo while the other is in the shower we say that it’s desperate and can’t wait and the showering person grabs their towel and leaves the room.

This is why you lock the bathroom door.

This is why you don’t have a loo in the bathroom.

ClawsandEffect · Today 16:17

This is relationship ending IMO. I've been in 3 long term relationships (married once) and NONE of my partners have done this.

PrettyLittleRose · Today 16:18

HelpMeGetThrough · Today 15:59

Jesus Christ, no way!!

In 30 years I’ve never taken a dump with my OH in the bathroom and would wonder WTF was occurring if they did!! A slash doesn’t bother me, but not a dump!!!

No matter how well you know someone, there are limits!!

Same here. Roughly the same amount of time together. Neither one of us has EVER entered the bathroom for a SHIT, when either one is having a bath or shower or cleaning their teeth.

Bet this guy thinks dutch ovens are a scream too, and farts into a bottle and asks her to sniff it.

Fuk me sideways, no wonder some women stay single if this all that's on offer. Confused

meganorks · Today 16:18

Absolutely not! The whole point of a bath is to lounge around in it. Who wants to do that with the stench of someone else's shit?!

I was going to say the 'humiliated' was a bit far. But given he said he was bringing you a glass of wine and instead used the unlocked door to drop a log, maybe you are right. Disrespectful certainly.

Livinthedrama · Today 16:18

It wouldn't be for me but everyone is different. Not an immediate dumping offence, if he listens and doesn't do it again then that is fine to me. We all have different standards about different things.

grinandslothit · Today 16:19

That would be the end for me
