AIBU to be deeply concerned about the sheer number of unchecked undocumented unknown men coming into the UK?

This is some dystopian lord of the flies hell. Those poor women. Burned on the boat. Wth. Poor man stabbed to death. Why are the people that did this then going to be roaming free in the UK? Why are they allowed to enter the UK in the first place? Why are gangs not being 'smashed'?

Why won't the government tell us the truth about their crime rates?

Channel chaos as migrant dies, two women burned and one stabbed on same boat

Forty-five of those on board continued towards the UK and were picked up by a British rescue vessel.

As a side note, it’s so nice to be able to discuss these things without the usual cries and accusations of racism and xenophobia.

According to some posters thought process, the girls will be no safer on the Spanish mainland, because Spain also has its own rapists.

Makes you wonder just how bad the sexual assaults are for the Cueta authorities to evacuate them.
Did they not try giving out leaflets?

Even though where women here say their Morocco experiences are absolutely shocking. Apparently Spain is just as bad

Indeed, but people don’t want to hear it.

Ostrich method I guess.

It is. Who and what convinced them it was better to go on the attack against the women and not the male perpetrators?

Labour?

I’ll not forget it. All those who shouted women down were and are complicit.

Absolutely.

I sometimes wonder if one day there’s going to be a lot of backpedaling and trying to rewrite history.

Much like with the whole trans debate.

MaturingCheeseball · 01/09/2026 10:14

What is to stop the migrants, once awarded Spanish citizenship, moving around Europe? Some countries have suspended the Schengen Agreement with Spain because they could foresee this.

They can make their way through France quite legitimately, but once bound for Britain they can jettison their documents.

GunnelVallquist · 01/09/2026 07:58

I find it utterly horrifying and infuriating that there are still people who try to minimise all of this by saying ‘native men rape too’.

What is wrong with them, seriously? What sort of argument is that?

And it keeps getting trotted out, every time.

It's kind of inevitable though, when the alternative is to recognise that too many of these men consider rape culturally acceptable - which may explain why engagement by some posters is limited to accusing others of being "racist"

If they really were I've no doubt the vast majority would condemn their approach so they could be rightfully deleted, but those who feel an accusation's enough in itself tend to scatter themselves over numerous threads to maximise the opportunities

Probably. I hope one day it’s over and women are not deprioritised because a male needs to be put first no matter how bad it gets.

Mn is a good record of why it was so bad, people can look at the tactics used to silence. Even this thread shows it well in one go, the first half is mostly posters demanding why are you posting this, you’re stirring, fake, liar etc

If anyone asks how did it last so long, mn has it.

I misread and thought the bodies were burned after death.

They didn’t die, they were burned from the sun.

A man was killed by the others, which implies he was acting dangerously - probably due to delirium if they were all burned and dehydrated.

Lol.

Send them back to where? How do you know where they came from and how will you get those countries to accept them?

You seem to be implicitly accepting that these men lie about their country of origin. Why would they need to do that? Why aren't they being honest about it?

Anonyanonay · 01/09/2026 11:12

NancyThompson · 01/09/2026 09:45

Re the NHS collapsing without migration thing, what state are the health services in the countries of origin of all the medics we're poaching then, once their studies have been paid for by the taxpayers of those countries? Why aren't we training enough in the UK?

I am always stunned that people on the 'I'm so virtuous' progressive left never ask themselves if it is morally acceptable to poach doctors and engineers from countries that sorely need them.

MaturingCheeseball · 01/09/2026 11:16

I agree with the point about saving women and girls from the Ceuta beaches.

Can someone answer why they think this was done? Posters have argued that migrants present no material threat to safety so why remove the females? And if it follows that Spanish natives are equally prone to assaulting, isn’t it out of the frying pan into the fire?

100% there will not be any backpedalling from the left on anything (or any apologies). An American article here, but the principles - are the same. You will recognise them.

'Remorse and atonement do not exist in the leftist mindset.

Many conservatives think.... that our poor, misguided leftist friends, who may or may not have endorsed barbarities with the best of intentions, merely require the right revelation, the right sequence of carefully constructed arguments and cold, hard facts, to abandon the false god of leftism.

These conservatives cling to the idea that even hardcore leftists can be reasoned with, that the marketplace of ideas merely has to work its magic to convert these wayward sheep back to the old civility of yore.

The thing is, the left won’t wake up. There will be no mass conversion event when [for example] all the trans activists, corrupt bureaucrats, and Antifa thugs suddenly snap out of it and rejoin the more sane ranks of American society.

That’s not how pathological leftism works, and to believe that it does is a dangerous fantasy. Concepts like remorse and atonement do not exist in the leftist mindset. For themselves, at least. Remorse and atonement are instead reserved for the real oppressors, namely straight white men and the capitalist system they propagate.

In reality, leftists possess an entire toolbox of methods to avoid any sort of reckoning. They’ll aggressively downplay previous abuses and assure the public that, though previous iterations of wokeness may have gotten a bit out of hand, they merely want “health care” and spout some version of “real socialism has never been tried.” This is already the favorite tactic of the likes of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

They’ll conveniently forget any of it ever happened, and they’ll aggressively gaslight Americans into believing that it never happened, too. Through their control over institutions like the media and academia, they can memory-hole practically whatever they want, just as they’ve already done with scandals like Russiagate and with the worst excesses of the Covid era.

Finally, they’ll convince themselves that rather than a string of necessary evils required to defeat the reviled conservative oppressors, their atrocities were a positive good — finally liberating America and ushering in an age of left-wing utopia.

The citizens of the former Soviet Union didn’t “wake up” to all the horrors of their regime. They still deny the Holodomor, the abortion rate remains extremely high, and the government has offered little in the way of an acknowledgment or apology for the brutal gulag system. The Soviet Union didn’t fall because the Soviet citizenry woke up one day and suddenly regretted all the terrible things that had been committed in the name of the communist regime. They finally turned against the Soviet system once its intrusiveness and incompetence became too inconvenient in daily life, but there was no grand self-reflection. You can look at every communist, socialist, or “democratic socialist” regime of the last century, and you’ll see this exact same pattern.

Like the Soviets, some (emphasis on some) of the leftists of today will only begin to turn against leftism (if at all) once it starts to negatively affect them personally, but they’ll never grapple with the historic horrors wrought by their movement. Because the horror is the point.'

Leftists Will Never Self-Reflect, And They Will Never Apologize

Leftists will never experience a grand revelation for the horrors they've inflicted on the American people and offer atonement.

Good question. Bit like the famous part in a Few Good Men: if the order had been given not to touch the bullied marine, why would it be necessary to transfer him off the base? Apologies if you've not seen the film.

Just been reading reports of our wonderful SAS feeling hounded over their conduct in combat. There are now concerns that our armed forces are losing its appeal to new recruits. Maybe this country is looking after everyone except our own.

Apparently they handed out don't rape women and girls leaflets, as well.

Well they didn't seem to work. But at least they've got evidence they Tried to Tell Them. In case it comes to a court case.
