This is some dystopian lord of the flies hell. Those poor women. Burned on the boat. Wth. Poor man stabbed to death. Why are the people that did this then going to be roaming free in the UK? Why are they allowed to enter the UK in the first place? Why are gangs not being 'smashed'?

Why won't the government tell us the truth about their crime rates?

Channel chaos as migrant dies, two women burned and one stabbed on same boat

Forty-five of those on board continued towards the UK and were picked up by a British rescue vessel.

So where is the stabbing part?

One person died from a heart attack that has been confirmed but the French authorities have no said anything about a stabbing.

I have just checked three news outlets: Telegraph, Sky and Independent and all say the same thing:

"Three other people were found injured, including one who required urgent medical care, according to a translation of a statement from the Prefecture maritime de la Manche et de la mer du Nord"

No mention of stabbings or women being burned.

Well you can ignore the cops. You do you babe 'French detectives meanwhile confirmed that at least one of those involved in the boat incident had stab wounds, while two women were burned.'

Can you link to the source of that please?

The planned mechanism was that for every few hundred individuals the UK sent down to Central Africa, the UK would accept a tiny, single-digit number of highly vulnerable refugees (such as those requiring complex medical care that Rwanda's healthcare system could not provide) back to the UK.

That wasn’t what I read at the time. Forgive me if I don’t accept post-cancellation justifications. Anyway, it was downright immoral and against international law, and I prefer living in a country not en route to becoming a pariah state.

Why the personal attack?

Projecting I expect bless her. I won't report though, I prefer to let things stand.

Those Pakistani muslim men in the grooming gangs seemed to be more interested in raping young white girls.

I'm not sure I will be able to find the article now, but amongst support agencies there were concerns that Muslim girls were affected and didn't come forward due to stigma. However, when any of the girls did come forward they weren't believed anyway.

CoventryCity · 30/08/2026 22:02

Violence among passengers on dangerously overloaded boats is an increasing concern for authorities on both sides of the channel I think. It's not looking good.

Can you link the confirmation by French authorities that there was a stabbing? Because if that’s going to stand it needs evidence.

Feeling sorry for someone because they’re lonely is a personal attack now?

It’s a concern for anyone with any human feeling. But was there a stabbing on this particular boat or not?

Oh undoubtedly. Like this tragic case shows.

@CoventryCity why don't you edit your OP. That way, the derailment opportunities will be more limited.

@Popstarrrrr that is a whole new thread.
It's terrible and very hard for them to say anything because the society is so emeshed with cousin marriage and Shame/honour / diffenrent rules and laws and cominity elders and all of it bound by religion.

Feel free to report.

Your usual puppets aren’t biting much this evening I see but I guess it’s because you’ve been called out on your lack of credible sources.

So I guess you’d be upset if this thread wasn’t keeping you company.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it. Everything there is true, there's a link within with more information... if people want to derail with nonsense and personal attacks - it only shows they are motivated to do so. But why?

It’s really not derailment to question the words of an OP…
The alleged stabbings and burnings were used to suggest that all those com8ng on boats were violent and dangerous, particularly to women. Fair enough to challenge whether this particular violence ever happened, don't you think? (And no, I’m not suggesting no asylum seekers are violent and dangerous)

Puppets? You mean the 77% who voted the OP isn't being unreasonable. You want posters to bite - are you the one now baiting?

This is so sad but I’m not sure of the relevance of it?

Perhaps a new thread about it would be better.

The Independent carries the same information for those who don’t read the DM.

Looking at the French report there’s three injured plus one death, so yes that can cover two women and one attack that required medical attention.

But are a proportion of those voting that way over horror about women being burned and a stabbing, neither of which actually happened?

Oh for goodness sake. Does it say stabbing? Did anyone but the Mail (quoted by the Express) say stabbing? Does it say what caused the death?
