This is some dystopian lord of the flies hell. Those poor women. Burned on the boat. Wth. Poor man stabbed to death. Why are the people that did this then going to be roaming free in the UK? Why are they allowed to enter the UK in the first place? Why are gangs not being 'smashed'?

Why won't the government tell us the truth about their crime rates?

You started a thread about illegal immigration and to my knowledge none of the perpetrators were illegal immigrants.

The grooming gangs are a completely different issue that need addressing but not on a thread about people coming over in boats.

Domestic violence is a completely different subject, but that doesn't stop umpteen posters mentioning it.

That’s not a reply to the point I was making. It wasn’t about whether Brexit would affect immigration, it was about this nonsense that a ‘proper’ Brexit would have been sunshine and rainbows. It’s nonsense.
And if someone has done the work to gain citizenship if an EU country (it’s not easy anywhere) then I have no problem with them following the laws of that country and having free movement.

Yes. No surprises. Some people do not like these issues being discussed. I don't mind. Water off a ducks back and a bit like in the TWAW hoo ha, people who tried to tell us men can be women, were wrong, and those who always confirmed the realities of biological sex, were right. It's the same here isn't it. The mass immigration of unchecked undocumented males from incompatible cultures, is wrong. So it's easy enough to debate with the folk who keep trying to tell us it's not a problem.

The number of asylum seekers is decreasing. The amount of other immigration is decreasing. Emigration is also decreasing. You are getting stick because you implied that women had been set alight on a boat when that wasn’t true. You’ve yet to show evidence of the Stabbings too - it wasn’t in the original report. You aren’t discussing issues you are trying to stir up bad feelings

Not really. Many of the men shouting at asylum seeker hotels etc. have been found to have DV convictions. So there is a clear link.

Women and young people are dying on that crossing. You’d have to be looking at very limited sanitised Labour led press to not know that.

Not Labour, not ‘lefties’ not anyone. Those on the left also want to stop the boats, but not by declaring every asylum seeking man a violent rapist and suggesting we don’t take any because we aren’t the first safe country. Safe routes, proper vetting, international agreements about who takes how many. That’s the only way. And it needs doing soon before climate change massively 8ncrease the displaced people in the world.

Fewer people are coming not just fewer boats, so fewer people are in danger. If the same number were coming from the same places you wouldn’t like that either.

There are ways to deal with this. The USA deals with it very well. Till the time we sort out the deportations detain them and don't let them into the community.

Doctors and engineers take the carrots, but they come to the country the legal way. We don't mind those sort of carrots.
