Also important to note that attempts to claim the analysis of the data isn’t statistically valid because it doesn’t control for sex or age is actually quite amusing given that the very categories where there are high numbers of young adult male migrants forcing their way into the UK are precisely those with higher offending rates, which demonstrates exactly why it’s an extremely bad idea to allow tens of thousands of young male adults to move here and disperse them across our society: their presence makes existing UK citizens and residents more unsafe! I.e. the entire point of the thread: that we should not allow this to continue because it compromises our safety.
And that’s quite aside from the absurd idea that 1% of the UK population who are asylum seekers/ people already granted refugee status could have possibly skewed the offending rates to make them this extremely different across ethnicities/ cultures. The point is that we know that even amongst the vast majority of the population sample who are UK citizens or long-term residents, ethnicity and the cultural aspects that accompany that make a very large difference in offending rates, which is will obviously be much HIGHER and more extreme when looking at new arrivals who haven’t been raised here with our laws, and are almost exclusively young men, who we know from worldwide data from as long as history has been recorded are the highest offending group.
It’s ironic that some posters have attempted to object to the statistical analysis on the basis that confounding factors can’t be controlled due to the MOJ refusing to release more granular data, yet at the same time have admitted that these confounding factors would actually INCREASE the additive risk that these newly arriving men pose to the rest of society because the average increase in risk level per new migrant will obviously be HIGHER than the data we have already implies to be the case (given that the overall UK population data also includes women, children and the elderly, which reduces the measurement of the true level of offending per young, adult man).
Why should women and children accept this ongoing increase risk to their safety? This question is yet to be answered.
